This is funny. Same here. I left in 2010 to MS, CA and now AZ. My sister has lived there since 2007 and now parents do, so I've decided to go back at the end of the month, because I do not have any friends here. I visited there in 2014, but from this vid it looks a little different. I see much construction downtown. They all live in Wesley Chapel. I've lived in Brandon, Oldsmar, Dunedin, Clearwater and Hyde Park. The 30th cannot get here fast enough.

This was really helpful man, thank you. I'm considering moving from Chicago, and while I did visit Clearwater in 2017, I took a gamble and went just before the hurricane swept the state, stress will make you do stupid things, but I don't regret it one bit. Saw the beauty of Clearwater, spent a night in Tampa, but didn't see much as I escaped the hurricane in a rental all the way back to Chicago, but I've been to Florida before in my life and it's just a beautiful state period. Tampa has much that I'm looking for, and while Arizona, Tennessee and Texas are also on my list, something about Florida keeps callin me, and since I gave Arizona two tries, I feel like I owe Tampa one. Thanks again, God bless your family, and it takes ballz for a man to let his daughter paint his toes. Lol. Cheerz Budd!
@doitordont61504 жыл бұрын
I've been to Chicago before, its a pretty cool city, sure does get windy and cold though in the winter. Hurricanes are not too common in the Tampa Bay area compared to the east side of Florida. Well at least you practiced your escape plan lol. The cities you listed are on my bucket list to Visit some day. Take some trips down here to make sure its the right thing. Temperatures are great all year around if you like warm sunny days, so much to do and short commutes to large attractions like Disneyland, Clearwater Beach, etc...on the downside there are no Mountains. I moved to Pennsylvania recently due to family reasons but if you have any questions about Tampa area let me know. Anything for my baby girl lol. Thanks for watching man.
@AlenOfAshur4 жыл бұрын
@@doitordont6150 practiced my escape route, oh yeah! Lol Thanks man, and he I'm also a fan of Mountains, which is why I love Tennessee and Arizona. It's a tough call, but one never knows until one tries. There's one thing that I cringe at the thought of about Florida, those giant flying roaches, ekh! I can handle many things, but those things disgust me to the point when I see one, as I did in my hotel room in L.A. once, I literally packed up and left that moment, because I can't sleep after that. Pros and cons man, what can we do?! Did you see any yourself while down there? Like in rooms, restaurants, bars, cafes?
@doitordont61504 жыл бұрын
I agree pros and cons. Florida's Nature is ocean, lakes, rivers. Where other places may be mountains, lakes, rivers. California has both. As far as the Palmetto Bugs I also agree they are scary nasty looking pests. They would get in my apartment often and we would kill maybe like 3 a week. Takes a couple hits to kill them cause they are big. I even had one wake me up because of the weight and tickle feeling I had crawling on my arm. To be fair, they are practically harmless and you do get used to them and eventually learn how to prevent them.

@@doitordont6150 yikes! That's what I'm talkin about man. I have to seriously consider it because I literally can't sleep if I know there's a good possibility they could be in my room. Hey where would you recommend for recent college grads to live in Tampa? I want somewhere with a good night life and younger crowd.
@doitordont61504 жыл бұрын
South Howard is way too expensive but has great younger crowds, Ybor city area is also great for Night Life younger crowds but is a little Ghetto in that area as far as living. Best thing to do is get a nice safe private place in the surrounding towns shown in this Video and use all that money your saving to get Ubered into the night life in either Ybor city or South Howard. @doitordont61503 жыл бұрын
If your not working from home, then it would come down to where you are working because Tampa is spread out and I wouldn't want you driving 1 hour to work in Traffic. Anywhere outskirts of central tampa I'd recommend. Wesley Chapel(North side) is kinda pricey but is a good bang for buck as far as amenities in their developments. Brandon and Riverview are good options in the East side. South Tampa might be too pricey but for one person you might be able to find a 1 bdr. Town n Country is not too bad either (west side). If you lived in Brandon and had to drive across to the west side Town n Country, your not gonna like the drive. I'd start off in one of those locations and after your lease decide if it was the right location for you. Overall you will have access to Alot in any of the outskirts areas. Not too experienced with Oldsmar. Definitely not a bad area but I would use different apps like realtor or zilliow to search your style of apartments. All those areas around Tampa are good. @@aussiegolfer2919 What do you consider better? What is your preference? Price? Age range? Ethnicity type? Crime rate? Amenities? Closer to shopping? Closer to the beach? In all Honesty these areas are so close together and very consistent in Terrain. They have many similarities. And I feel they are all equally matched and would come down to preference. By looking at the visual Condos online and maybe in person it would give you the best view of what your getting yourself into but the good thing is it would only be temporary to get you there and get a feel of what exact area you will want to live. Doesn't matter where you live it could take one bad neighbor which could be anywhere to make the whole area feel bad. I don't think this will happen but is just an example. So short answer would be they are equal. In this video I show how to use the zilliow application to look for areas. I know its kinda long but more towards the end I show exactly how to use it to help find the right place for you. Hope this helps.

I have no experience in them because I do virtual school with my kids. I gave up on public school after covid. But just because it has a bad review doesn't mean it's gonna be a bad experience for everyone. But it is a bit riskier.
@alexpierantoni86633 жыл бұрын
@@doitordont6150 interesting, how does virtual work? is it a private school or part of homeschooling?
@doitordont61503 жыл бұрын
@@alexpierantoni8663 it's all homeschooling. My Fiancé is a stay at home mom so she supervises the virtual online schooling. The kids go live on camera a couple times throughout the day and the rest of the day they do some homework and online video coursework. It's not too bad especially as they learn and become independent

Wow!! I’m saving up to move to Tampa right now and this is the absolute BEST review I’ve ever seen. Thank you!! And question: I do Gig work full time, like Uber, door dash, etc. do you think I would live comfortably there with no kids, just me in a one bedroom apartment?
@doitordont61504 жыл бұрын
I definitely think you could pull it off with a low basic lifestyle working gigs. Play it safe and save as much emergency money as you can because the future of everything right now is unpredictable. And that goes anywhere you live of course. I'd stay in the 800-1000/month range for rent for a nice little 1bdr but with your preference you could spend a little more or less depending on your standards. I'd say live as basic as you can so you'll have more money for experiences and networking. Then again it depends on what your into. Let me know if you have any further questions. Hope this helps

I’m relocating to Tampa from Maryland in a couple of months. Is it true it’s hard to get an apartment if you don’t already have a job there?
@doitordont61503 жыл бұрын
Yes it can be difficult but you can call different apartments your interested in and ask the requirements. Some might be 6 months rent up front, some a year(length of the Lease). If you look hard enough you might find one that won't question as much. I transferred my job so I didn't have any problems when they asked for my paystub. Only other option is to find a Job in Tampa and then immediately move, this is easier said than done but possible. Good Luck!

@doitordont61503 жыл бұрын
I think what your doing is good. Rent for a year which will allow you to really get a feel of All the areas in Tampa and decide what area of Tampa is right for you. In the video I show all the outskirts of Tampa as my recommendation as far as living. Find an apartment with the amenities or luxuries that you desire and get locked in. But if you want to go cheaper for that one year then look for smaller apartments that won't be as appealing but will get you to Tampa and allow you to save and get into a house after that year is up.

I hear that. Tampa should definitely be much safer for your family. The lizards do not bite. I'm sure if you picked it up and tried to harm one while holding it, it might try and fight back but they don't have teeth so it wouldn't hurt either way. All the schools are individual meaning some might be good and bad in the same area. Best thing to do is go off the chart I show in the video. @doitordont61504 жыл бұрын
Let's say your rent is $1000/month for a 1 bdr and this includes water. Let's estimate electric to be $70/month. Tack on internet+TV ($90), food ($250), gas ($70), car payments and insurance (350)..if you have a car payment...., etc..as an example.......that's about $1830/month for all your bills...12months x $1830= $21,960. You would calculate your individual expenses to your own of course. So 21,960 would get you through the whole year with no job. If your confident you'll get a job in 4 months of living here then divide 21,960/4months = $5490 should get you through those 4 months. Your expenses might be lower than this if you don't have a car payment or you don't need to tv internet. Keep in mind this doesn't include any fun activities or going out to eat. Also keep in mind almost all apartments require either 1 year in advance of rent if you don't work here or proof that your working in Florida. Also keep in mind for a full year you would just need the 12000 for the full years rent and your other bills you'll deal with separate. Hope this makes sense. Lmk if you have any more questions bro
