The hammer cop's nest is like a miniature castle-it’s hard to believe a bird can build something that could almost hold a human’s weight! Nature has truly perfected the art of construction through these birds.

Last year a pair of wrens built a nest in one of our windows between the screen and the glass, they had to peel the screen back. I watched them working so hard to build it. (we use to have a bird rescue) so I know about birds. Anyhow, they ended up abandoning the nest. Because the sun was too hot on it. so recently months later, I took the nest out. They are tiny little birds, but the nest was large enough for 10 of them. I have it in a box. Its amazing! No bugs, they used a lot of moss and never got to use it. Instead they built one in our pump house and used that one.

@@AbdullahAhmed-k1x These images / video are pretty obviously fake... check out what modern AI can do nowadays, it can make realistic images and videos but still has plenty of tells. The biggest of which is things being "too perfect". 0:10 0:33 0:36 0:39 All of those are within the first minute, there's plenty of others but I'm not gonna go through the whole video to point them all out.

On the other end of the spectrum, consider the mourning dove. They find a little fork in a tree, throw a few twigs on it and call it good. 😃😃They sometimes they nest in thick evergreens, so I don't know what they do in there for a nest.

I thought the first picture of the Jacana had 4 legs then I realised there was a chick on board.
@AntfarmerАй бұрын
I wondered about those 4 legs as well! And if it’s a chick how does the parent hold it in that position?? 🤔
@AntfarmerАй бұрын
So curious, I looked it up: “Male jacanas brood eggs between the wings and the body. This wing-brooding may be assisted by a special adaptation in the wing bones with either a broadening of the radius or a widening of the gap between the radius and ulna. Young chicks may also be held under the wing and transported to safety by the parent bird in some species.” Wikipedia
