Just because one person figured out how to make a magnifying lense does not mean the entire culture was that wise! We don’t know what level of technology Noah and his sons had at their disposal. In a world infested with fallen angels, the pre-Flood world could hav been far more advanced than what we have today. Jehovah reduced the post-Flood world to subsistence levels of existence for a long time to follow, with advanced technologies disappearing from existence beneath the Flood’s vast waters buried beneath the sediments of entire continents.
