I also loveee the watch accessories! The italian charm bracelets are actually quite popular where I live, almost everyone has one of them. I have one too but I felt like the trend was kinda overused and I haven't personalised mine much. This was the first time I saw there are charms you can add your pictures. I will definitely get one of those! Mixing my personal style into little aspects of everything makes me so happy and it also helps with bringing the stuff that I don't really feel like anymore back to life. I recommend it to everyone!

a lot of these niches fall under aesthetics like gremlincore/crowcore/cottagecore (not the same thing but similar tones), grunge cottagecore/dark academia. Maximalism is back, and it makes sense that it's drifting towards aesthetics that focus heavily on self customisation (as stores haven't picked up on it as much yet :) ). The aesthetics I described above, they centre around finding/collecting things, different aspects of nature, alternative customisation, and winter layers, dark neutral tones. Some trends you can see coming back are actually in materials used; think about a mishmash of a stereotypical european grandpa's/grandma's closet, and 90's fashion. On one side, canvas, corduroy, denim and leather (watches and buttons, foraging bags - hence the recent messenger bag craze, handmade jewellery, even army jackets/woodland jackets, and textures like plaid, gingham and stripes) and on the other, metallic accents (chainmail, soldoring, think y2k magazines with their crazy 3d-metallic graphics) and boxy silhouettes, tomboys/boyish features with pretty feminine accessorisation, graphic tees and graphic mini-tees (to an extent), etc. Even a couple years ago, when alt fashion, "brat doll" styles and oversize clothing were more in fashion, you could see the kinds of silhouettes I was talking about ^^ Notice, we finally had a more body-positive fashion cycle :) and social media has also finally normalised body types that aren't stick figure thin/male-fantasy curvy. A lot of the inspo in this (actually, even in the creator themselves) there's models of different sizes, and you can see that boxy silhouette that's coming back into fashion :D

So many good points made!! Especially that maximalism and diy culture are making a big comeback. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! :)

I've been into the goofy t-shirts thing too. It motivates me to go out jogging if I can find the biggest, stupidest shirt to do it in. Also found a neon 90s shirt that says "Just Try It", should be great for my job teaching reluctant junior high kids to write essays. 😆

Omg I love that for you lmaoo. If that doesn't motivate them, I don't know what will 🤪

Omg those charm bracelets, we all had those in middle school! Trends are so funny how they come back around - I’m 30 now.😢

Love that charm bracelets and chainmail are growing in popularity!! I’ve been trying to get into more knight/historical clothing so this is perfect 🤭🤭 Also loving the skirt/pant combo as someone who’s been loving 2000s Japanese fashion ❕❕

Thanks to Oasis reuniting (got my tickets bruh!!!!), Blur's Coachella show, and Pulp's recent lot of shows, "brit pop" style is expected to make a resurgence. I'm completely here for all of it. When I was 16, I wanted to BE the Gallagher brothers. They're responsible for my Adidas addiction.

Everyone please note that chainmail pures are antique pieces and they deserve to be treated with care! They are more than 150 years old. And once you get tired of it, resell it but toss it

Most definitely!! Thankfully people are making modern versions too :))
