I never heard that Gena Rowlands, who in "The Notebook" played the role of lead female character as an older woman with Alzheimer's, died of complications of Alzheimer's.

John Amos played the later in life older version of Kunta Kinte in in the TV movie, Roots. Young Kunta Kinte was played by Levar Burton. A point, I think, that required clarification.

I recall following "Roots" on TV and John playing Kunte Kinte as an adult. James Earl Jones is another actor I have liked. As for Dame Maggie - what a huge contribution she made. And Kris Kristofferson's song "Me and Bobby McGee" he performed wonderfully well, as did Janis Joplin (who died many years ago). It is always sad when actors and other performers pass, especially if one has known them and been a fan, over many decades.
