These stubborn homebodies are so attached to their houses that they will watch entire highways and cities being built around them, just so they never have to leave. Ah, there’s no place like home! From the jaw dropping Nail Houses of China, to the farmer who built a secret forbidden castle behind giant stacks of hay, these are the 15 Owners Who Refused To Move Out At Any Price

No money can buy my home... When I was 18 hrs old a wonderful stranger donated me a vacant house that he had sitting for a while..in pennsylvania . Me and my dad started fixing it and 5 yrs later that house became my home sweet home . I'm 38 yrs old now and I thank God for blessing me with a home where I have found peace and the greatest neighbors I've ever had. To my wonderful stranger mr. Carl D. Schllicter thank you for putting a roof on my head and you are an angel from heaven above...your kindness is worth more than silver and gold.

In some cases states and towns use eminent domain to take property.

@@ikutiap5923 why the question mark? States have a right to use eminent domain if the bottom line means profits for the big corporations. NY is notorious for this bs.

Just looking at these comments, it's sad to see that most react purely based off of emotion(s). What they fail to do is consider & understand ALL of the various factors & ramifications. Most people don't want to leave or lose their home & their are many instances where the owners are justified in not selling... but sometimes that isn't the case and sometimes "the ends justify the means".

I miss the dramatic conflick that developed at the beginning of the 20th century in front of Amsterdam station. Two 18th century houses whose owners refused to leave in 1910 due to the construction of the Victorya hotel. It is a famous tourist attraction ... it has a bestseller written about it that has been made into a movie.

I'd definitely move out for the right price. I wanna move into a small apartment anyway. Much less upkeep than a house, a pool I don't have to clean, and landscaping I don't have to take care of myself.

Are you out of your mind ? California law says that a tenant can occupy an house not more than three months by law Court will enforce the tenant to leave the property ASAP , else court will through them out

the government can throw you out especially if it's considered a reasonable reason like to build a school or hospital or a highway tbh they can throw you out and give you less money than before where you had an option to move and be happy ik stuff holds memories but you can't hold them forever sometimes it best to just let go because sometimes that is what's dragging you down from being successful

There’s a farm in Yorkshire right smack in the middle of the major freeway. A good film to watch is the one about a woman who bought a pink cottage and was forced out, as well as the people around her. It’s a true story and very alarming how the government can force you out if they think the land can be better used. Can’t recall the name of it!

It the U.S. it's called eminent domain. Your property can be taken for the betterment of the city, state, etc...for 'fair market value' .

13:35 #3 Might want to fact check this one lol. The owner didn't have to pack anything as the building was empty, no one lived in there, its been empty since the owner bought it, the owner bought it in 2013 with plans to fix it up.

Slide the red bar all the way to the end then hit replay, it gets rid of all ads. Altho if you have auto play on, this won't work. You have to turn off auto play first!! Works everytime!!

This is happening to my family. They've already taken a portion of our 15 acre yard to expand the stupid fucking road and added a light to our corner. This has resulted in more car accidents. I don't want to go outside because I get people calling out to me from their cars as they wait for the light. Wish they would mind their own fucking shit, I hate it.
