Sometimes even declassified information isn't always showing things that governments don't want you to see. Makes one wonder why release declassified material with missing pieces missing from it. One of the simplest way to obfuscate what the government does and does not want you to see is to publish some of both together. Once classified information is compromised and disseminated, they want you to see that information so that you don't go looking for other information. I think the "Spy vs. Spy" cartoons would have taught everyone that.

There is a super secret facility in NY that I still don't know what it is for, but I watched it being built over a period of years. All underground. Huge. I worked with the TELCO company and the person who ran 5 massive cables, this was pre-fiber. He thought the cables would be hooked to the central office, but they bypassed the CO and there was a new manhole And you could clearly see where the ground had been trenched and I followed the route and there were manholes every so often right up to the underground facilities border Whatever it is they needed a lot of bandwidth and being in such a remote location where the main line that fed the area was only 3 in in diameter to see these cables the size of your leg being run to this remote region had us all scratching our heads

To be fair though, taking the watches might not be an act of looting, in many cases they will take something like that as almost a sign of respect, as a memento to not forget them. These guys won't take them and sell them for a quick buck- they will hold onto them for the rest of their lives and it will help them to never forget. My great grandfather kept a pocket watch he got from a Japanese officer and when he would look at it you could see in his eyes he was there, even in his 90's he was back there in that war.

First off the rank ... #15, that 'Military Base' in Athens ... if you look at Athens in Google Earth you'll find AT LEAST FIFTEEN SITES that are pixelated beyond recognition ... all Military buildings (but some Government and lots of civilian buildings are also caught in the blanket censorship of some areas), including the Tatoi Airport (a PUBLIC AIRPORT which also houses an Air Force Base), The Naval Academy, the Military Academy, and many others. Strangely, when several of the Military buildings are in the same general area they just blank out the whole region around them, INCLUDING civilian areas. Between the Athens Garrison HQ in the west, the Military Police Garrison in the east, the Army Hospital in the North and the AOOA Army facility in the south (a 1.3km x 1.3km area) is the National Gallery, a Plant Nursery, Epo Soccer Club, Goudi Public swimming pool, Goudi Olympic Sports Complex, a Supermarket and several public parks, all covered by the same censorship. (and in several areas, mainly the hospitals and biomed research facility, the censorship extends to Street View images as well, even though there's a public highway running right through the centre. Seems it's OK to look at them with the Mk 1 eyeball, but not with a camera.)

Useless factoid: the BBC Horizon series (science documentaries) back in the nineties had a nice chat with the guys who made the optics for the Hubble telescope and how government commitments had held up production of the civilian mirror. Other useful nuggets that came out were the focal length and camera resolution that enabled KH series satellites to read a newspaper headline from low orbit.

In another feature of his I’ve just watched he claims that “all the passengers and cabin crew recalled the incident the same way”, yet the incident occurred on a Boeing 747 freighter with the only occupants being the three flight crew! He even said at the beginning it was a Boeing freighter! Go figure. I take most of what he says with a grain of salt. It’s extremely poor form for him to criticise any European nation with regard to the refugee crisis, when most of their stretched resources intended for Syrian refugee families were exploited and stolen by single men from North Africa cue-jumping the immigrant application process. Many of whom perpetrated the exponential crime wave and gang formation. Paris certainly isn’t theity it used to be - sad. I spent my entire life working with nuclear fission and retired after 35 yrs and still do not have two heads, extra limbs or cancer. It is a very safe and responsible industry. The risks of injury from driving a car or riding in a bus are many 1000's times greater.

We have the capability of watching North Korea and Iran anytime we want, including bunkers, people, makes of cars, and so on. At the right times, we can see license plates on cars and read headlines on newspapers in 15 point type. (So my Uncle said before he died in 2002). On the nuclear facilities one. I'm not into all of that, but a few seconds of consideration, and the most obvious answer is that because Environmentalists and such don't want such technology to even exist, then LOTS of effort is put into defunding them, and one of the first things postponed/neglected is maintenance. The "sad truth" is that the very thing they use to prevent the funding (nuclear disaster at a failed nuclear facility) is virtually guaranteed by their efforts. Limited/Reduced funding > decreased maintenance > increased likelihood of critical infrastructure failure (Heeellllooo Chernobyl II)

One image of the X-37 circulating on KZbin was taken right after the plane landed. That image shows what may be an EM Drive mounted on the rear of the X-37. No other photos that I have been able to find show the white device, which is mounted just to the left [looking forward] of the conventional rocket nozzle.
