It's a solid little cam, and a total gateway to the Thingino experience.. After using a Cinnado for a while you won't feel bad about spending a few extra $ on a WUUK!

Wow $3 is amazing! I've seen them on Amazon with coupons as low as $10. if you enjoy Thingino check out the WUUK, I have a video on it and its a major improvement over the Cinnado.

I recently got a very inexpensive GNCC GC2 camera. It uses the same chips and video sensor as the Cinnado D1. So I extracted the GPIO pins from the original firmware and modified the Thingino firmware for the Cinnado D1. Now I can use the camera without the terrible Osaio app.

WUUKs are awesome units for sure... but these Cinnados are pretty solid and got $15 don't be surprised to see me post a video of them in situations you would only use something easy to replace!

I will be doing something similar with a thingino cam and an ingenic-based NVR, but it will be a few weeks as I am currently traveling.

I need to set up an ethernet connection. Do you know if a usb c to ethernet adapter (wifi switch is PoE) would work? Or would I have to flash it

The camera mentioned in this video cannot use any usb wifi options as the single usb channel is used by the onboard wifi module. Several other cameras can do this, and we have some usb poe adapters folks are using as well. Best bet for discussing this is on our discord channel!

Hi There, I go to the stage where I enter my wifi network and password, and create an host password, and reboot, after it reboots what do I do? I can see the device on the router and ip address, what do I do with it?

Connect to its IP with a web browser to get started! ssh is also available. You use the root credentials you set in the setup portal.
