Russian language is difficult not only because of the grammar but because of pronunciation too. We don't pronounce words the same way we write them. Sometimes we have rules about some letter combinations and sometimes we need to remember words-exceptions. In the 2nd part of the video I present to you 15 words and sounds that usually are difficult for my students.

Merci beaucoup Lina, очень интересно, как всегдо :) The "x" sound is very hard to pronounce for me when it is in front of the letter "р", like in the word "охранять" . O, Боже мой! With "г" turning to "x" you forgot "Бог" :)

Every time I try to pronounce пей, my dad says it's wrong. It's not "pay," or "pyay," but I guess somewhere in between? I literally can't hear the difference between how he says it and my attempts at repeating it, but he keeps insisting I'm saying it wrong. I can at least roll my R's. I imagine that's something plenty of learners struggle with if they didn't grow up with a language that had it.

Yesss, it’s really hard to learn how to roll the R’s when you’re an adult. And about “пей”. I see what you mean. It’s really complicated to say something correct when you don’t hear the difference. It happens to me in French a lot.
