As inflation creeps up on us all, there are things average Americans won't be able to afford anymore, according to experts. People have lost a significant share of their buying power over the past few years, and now they're having to cut back on everything. From occasional luxuries to daily necessities, Americans are having curb spending to make ends meet, and that trend is here to stay.
Economic imbalances will even make it harder for our incomes to keep up with the rising cost of housing, fuel, food, and energy in the coming years. That's why we should prepare to tighten our belts if we want to achieve our financial goals.
Looking ahead, economists seem worried about the future. With personal savings dwindling and debt levels skyrocketing, life can become tougher for middle class families over the next five years, said Alyssa Huff, real estate expert and owner of Sell House As Is. Even simple pleasures such as vacations or buying nice things could become more challenging.
Today, we compiled a list of goods and services that may soon be out of the reach of millions of households, so you can brace for what's coming next.

Our economy struggling with uncertainties, housing issues, foreclosures, global fluctuations, and pandemic aftermath, causing instability. Rising inflation, sluggish growth, and trade disruptions need urgent attention from all sectors to restore stability and stimulate growth.

With the US dollar losing value to inflation and other currencies gaining traction, uncertainty looms. Yet, many still trust in the Dollar's perceived safety. Worried about my $420,000 retirement savings losing value, I seek alternative security for my money.

Maybe don’t buy a $75,000 car and buy a good used one for around $20,000. The higher the price of the house and car, the more ins you’ll pay. And if you don’t have payments on either, you only need liability on the car. But most people finance everything. And now you have to follow the banks’ rules

Excellent comments and, I agree with you 100 percent. Forget about everybody else, the only thing that really counts is, what you decide to do financially for yourself and your family. Also, wealth even as a certain dollar value in your investment, retirement, and bank accounts is very subjective. Prefer to use the term financially comfortable which, for myself is as follows: I would buy Bitcoin and buy hard assets like gold /silver as a store of value while also actively trading.....managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Francine Duguay, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Insurance costs just like everything is through the roof. I am comparison shopping as of immediately. I have taken maybe4 real vacations over the last 50 years. Now I do the old work cation…I stay home I’ve cut costs to the bone and will continue. No memberships and growing my own food. No new cars, new clothes and broken items get fixed. Every year taxes increase and I am terrified I will have to pay over what is taken out. Golden years my @$$! Healthcare I cannot afford to use. No savings or retirement. My husband’s cancer ate it up
