Wonderful video, thank you. Back in 2018 I had a 3-day stay in Copenhagen, taking advantage of the close and quick proximity of southern Sweden. I stayed at the Wake Up hotel close to the Centraal Train station and absolutely loved it. I would stay there again!

wonderful video thank you!, I will recommend if people buy the Copenhagen card to calculate when it is most favorable to activate it, as soon as it's activated the countdown is on, meaning if you arrive late and don't plan to go out as museums are closed (Tivoli is open if it's season but you may be tired or out of Tivoli season) then wait to activate the next day, the train/metro/bus ride from the airport is only around 5 dollars to the center and if it's more important for the Copenhagen card to last more hours later in the visit it's more important to save on yet another museum or castle than the ride from the airport, I totally agree about getting breakfast incl. in the hotel or hostel as breakfast is very expensive in the city, if it's not possible go to a bakery and ask for a breakfast roll with butter and cheese and they will make for you, if you stay in an apartment you can go to the supermarket it's not that expensive and make your own, other recommend take the train to Roskilde city 25 min. ride you will find a Viking museum and an old Cathedral where most of the Queens and Kings are buried, classical Danish food to try could also be Flæskestegs sandwich (pork roast with red cabbage and cucumber salad and crispy pork rind))if you are more into modern cuisine New Nordic cuisine it however tend to be expensive

You're most welcome! Yes, calculating the best time to purchase the Copenhagen Card depends on individual itineraries. I found it extremely helpful and a good value on my latest trip to Copenhagen. Of course it's nice to go to a local bakery or restaurant for breakfast, but for the life of me, I cannot leave my hotel until I've had my coffee so I like the convenience - and amazing choices - of a 'european' hotel breakfast. I find them hard to beat, especially in an expensive city like Copenhagen. Thank you for the additional suggestions on local cuisine to try. It all can't be covered in a short video.

A few corrections: 1. There is really only one airport for visitors coming to Copenhagen (Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup), the other one, (Copenhagen Airport, Roskilde) does not have passenger traffic and is only a business and private plane airport. 2. There is no Terminal 1 (old domestic terminal) at Copenhagen airport anymore. Only 2 and 3. 3. Taxis can only be found outside terminal 3, not 2.
@CORRTravel
@CORRTravel 7 ай бұрын
Thank you for your feedback for the other viewers. Just to clarify, Roskilde does have small passenger flights (just not many) and has flight taxi service. Yes, taxis can be found outside Terminal 3, but they do drop off at both Terminals 2 and 3.

It does include public transportation, but you will need to read which forms and lines in advance to ensure it covers what you need. If it doesn't, many tickets can be purchased in addition at a very reasonable cost.

Yes, please see the video description for all suggested tours, entry tickets, accommodations and travel essentials, like an eSIM card: Denmark eSIM Card: airalo.tp.st/wQ8q9KSL Europe eSIM Card: airalo.tp.st/DJ4PdQT4 No, Uber is not offered in Denmark. You can use GoMore.DK or the zero-emission Viggo ride-sharing service in Denmark. The 'Getting Around' section of the video has more information on how to get around. :-) Honestly, Copenhagen is great for riding the train, metro and walking. I'd avoid renting a car if you can. Right, never drink anything on a bus. Trains s-trains metro I think is complicated. It may be legal but … anyone sitting and drinking alone will seem pathetic, except maybe for very long distance train rides. Groups of people drinking, maybe being a bit loud but otherwise behaving good is definitely ok. Two people sitting quitely and drinking? If they are dressed to go out I guess it’s fine esp for younger people, but we are again dangerously close to pathetic.

Drinking in regional and intercity trains are allowed. Maybe also S-tog. I can't find anything about, it should be banned. But look out for signs. It is quite normal all over the country, that eating and drinking in buses are forbidden, again, look out for signs. Generally it is allowed to drink in public, it includes public transport. But special rules can be applied, but it is rare. You can sit in front of Amalienborg and drink a beer (as far as I know), the worst that can happen is Frederik (the King) joins you. He is known to like a beer, like he's granddad, Frederik the 9th.

To be honest, Danes don't mind to be addressed in English. Of course, as in most countries, it will be greatly appreciated if a tourist tries to address a Dane in Danish but let's be realistic, Danish is one of the hardest languages to learn in the world so most Danes will definitely not expect a tourist to address them in Danish. While the Copenhagen Card may appear a little pricey, it may be a pretty good deal if a tourist intends to visit a lot of attractions in or outside Copenhagen. In addition to the attractions mentioned in this clip, there are attractions outside Copenhagen such as Roskilde Cathedral where most Danish kings and queens are buried (well, kept in sarcophaguses is probably more correct). Outside Roskilde the Viking Museum can also be found. There is also Frederiksborg Castle in Hilleroed north of Copenhagen which is among the most beautiful castles in Denmark. Copenhagen can basically be viewed as the medieval inner city, which was surrounded by fortifications and a moat up to the late 1850s, and the areas just outside the lake area such as Østerbro, Nørrebro, Vesterbro and Frederiksberg. Included in what may be considered the medieval part of Copenhagen is the inner city on the Zealand side and Christianshavn on the Amager island side. All of this was surrounded by a moat up to the late 1850s. Part of the moat structure may be viewed just outside Christianshavn. On the Zealand side, the lakes in Østre Anlæg, Botanic Garden, H.C. Ørsted Parc and Tivoli are actually remnants of the moat that once surrounded Copenhagen.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and insights. Yes, it's nice the Danes are so welcoming with English. Still, I always recommend people lead with the local language no matter where they go, as you may see (and laugh about) in my Copenhagen trip video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYKvqKl-r8mjl6M Yes, I agree with all of those recommendations on things to do and day trips from Copenhagen. I hope I covered some of the best ones in the video description. 😁

As a local, I have to say that I'm very impressed with this VLOG. I agree on most things, but if your not used to cycling and know the local rules, Copenhagen is NOT the place to learn. You will just end up "P..ssing" off the locals or getting a hefty fine by the Police 😌 ! How to bike in CPH: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmWVfJ1_oLRriaM Hotdogs: The red ones are boiled. Most locals go for the brown fried one. Recommend "Johns Hot Dog Deli" outside Central Station or "DØP" (Danish Organic Sausages) at Rundetaarn. Latter has - apparently - good Vegan options. Other Tips: 1. Tipping: As you said.., no need to, and rounding up is fine (if your check is 385, round up to 400). Otherwise 4-5% is good and more than expected. 10% tips just makes you a showoff 🤣. 2. Wanna a full 360 view of the City. Apparently the highest Tower in CPH is the on atop of Christiansborg Castle (Parliament), and it¨s FREE. 3. On the CPH Card there is access to an 1 hour Canal tour. But you need to take it from the right place, otherwise it's not included. 4. Bakeries. Skt. Peders Bageri (Saint Peder's Bakery) dates back to 1652 and is not only CPH's oldest, but Denmarks. There really good, but not necessarily the best, but the oldest and the inventor of the "Wednesday Ciinnabun"😀 !
