Don't forget about audio being absolutely horrendous. I had a rampart rev up on me while holding a door and there was zero audio. I've also hit quite a few batteries that didn't have audio till about halfway through the heal..

3:28 Controllers, when having the armor buff and getting hit, actually show a small indicator, similar but not exactly like conduit shield tact. I've noticed this a lot and it helps me to better know how to take the fight.

ALOT of people dont know that u KEEP ur loadout when you die Just respawn its alot faster on ur first death which is like 5 seconds then 10 seconds on 2nd and so on Also pay attention to the respawn times, if u are bleeding out and ur 2nd teammate is respawning in 10 seconds or so . literally just bleed out instead and respawn with them, the timers are shared for both if they are respawning, the game will not make u both respawn independently , this is way more beneficial than letting the 2nd teammate respawn while ur bleeding out then some how die after waiting for a revive. cuz then now you have to wait x amount of seconds instead of just force bleed and joining them in the respawn animations

The problem with nerfing it too much puts a disadvantage to majority of the lobby. Like if only good loot is found at hotspot then too many ppl will just land there. If its only a few pois that get good loot then those few squads will more often than not make it to late game. But idk i tend to find decent loot as is so no need for a nerf to loot ​@@Focus716

Note on 2:35, you can toggle Select Fire to holster the offhand weapon and just use a single p20 or mozam with optics and ADS re-enabled. I like putting a 2x sight on my akimbo for these rare situation where you need to poke long range

After a few days of playing this mode, I fucking hate it. I see what respawn was trying to do, but their biggest mistake is thinking players will play as a team. That has not been my experience at all. Most of the time it's one guy off in fucking Narnia doing God knows what. Leaving two players to 2v3 everyone. Which would be fine, but after a few revives the other player now goes off all pissed off and nothing gets accomplished. Plus, a lot of my teammates refuse to bleed out when they are in a shitty situation and a revive is not in the cards. I'm assuming it's because it's tanking their KD. Respawn had good intentions I'm sure. But good God did they fuck this up. At least in my experience.

Agreed. This mode has some pros to it but it has a lot of cons and it feels so much worse with this loot pool on the new map. Maybe it plays out better on the other maps. But yeah I hope they add normal trios/duos back asap

I honestly feel bad for the devs because the game mode is designed really well, but a large portion of the Apex player base is just brain dead. Which ruins the whole experience for a lot of people. It's a problem thats impossible to solve.

3:21 Even without the health bar, the shield icon when you damage (if you have that on) has an actual shield shape that appears around it. I've seen it in season 20 gameplay and I think it's to indicate this extra health.

Long post: I started Apex in season 8 I think. I just remember how awful I was for my first time and almost no other game gave me that wake up call. I remember hitting diamond on PC controller and thinking that was such a big deal. Then masters started happening for me, then eventually...never thought I'd make it, pred. A few seasons after that I decided to try MnK again when they took tap strafe config away (ew gross I know). But being that movement and high sens were my fave things about the game, I went back to mouse. It took me almost 6 months but I FINALLY was back to where I was on roller. I think the ONLY thing Apex did right this season was the AA nerf. Otherwise everything else just fell short for me and nothing really changed for the better. New map is mid, the meta is just all over the place, AA still strong AF, controller legends get extra health, LMGs have shields now, Lifeline got no rework and no new legend. I have...OFFICIALLY, after four years or so...uninstalled Apex. :( Back to slow ass Valorant I go.

I really hate their strategy with LTMs. The fact that every mode besides Ranked and Mixtape was removed for Revival is so frustrating. Just keep Duos, Trios and Quads. They have enough players to do this (there are games with less daily players that have more modes than this so don't let them lie to you). I'm also just not the biggest fan of this mode, since it feels like most fights the third player just runs away only for the whole squad to come back with their entire inventory (sometimes with more ammo than they initially had). It's third party central with the respawning. I also found my first camping team in this mode? Really weird. This wouldn't be a problem if they just had more modes to play. At least the constant fighting can be fun at times.

A note on #4 that I haven't seen mentioned a lot. If you have an Akimbo and you find yourself in need of using a single one, you can use the Firemode selector (D-Pad left on Controller) to change to a single gun. This even retains the optics if you had any on them.

i used to play apex heavy back in like season 15-18 and i started even before that in season 7-10 on console. i hit masters in season 17 solo obviously cause it was pretty easy that season, i quit playing after they nerfed controller players in season 18 i believe, when they took out steam controller configurations... that was the only reason i played apex so much and have 1k hours on the game because i could do all the broken movement with a controller and i was actually nasty at the game. i want to start playing apex again but playing on keyboard this time around and actually learn the movement on keyboard. my account is also pretty good too, i am almost level 500 and have octanes heirloom, never got that prestige level stuff but im getting close to level 500 so i can get my first prestige reset. i really did play this game a whole lot, and never came back after that controller nerf... think im going to start playing again but who knows might quit again after a while lol, this game really has changed a lot!

Ngl this makes it easier to get 4k's and 20 bombs tbh as well. Cause there is far more players during the 2-3 rings that usual and if you keep respawning; and your teammates are competent, you can get badges easily, with some skill as well.

Here are some things you need to understand with this new mode. Your teammates will NOT revive you so just bleed out. The map is absolutely huge and dense. The weapons and everything have been adjusted and you will instantly die when you never used to. Good luck have fun and this is all because pros cry.

Another important tip is to not be poor. Any sort of potential fun there is to be had is completely ruined by the game dropping as low as 35 fps on PS4

Ps5 been out for a total of… four years!😃 $10 monthly saved x 48 months= $480. A job that grants 20 hours weekly kept for 4 years to a person with little to no bills would be able to afford a ps5 had they disciplined themselves, imo. Don’t want poor performance on a ps4 in big 24’? Better get the upgrade or upgrade your job/accumulate more bread somehow instead of expecting devs to cater to an outdated system (not many other games are releasing on ps4 these days anyways).

I'm not sure how i feel about them changing Caustic's pick-up trap button from Y to down on the d-pad, it makes sense given that most other characters use that button but it still feels awkward to press if you're in a pinch. I think there should at least be the option to revert it.

New trio's is horrible. Getting 2 downs having the opponent just hold 'bleed out' button, immediately spawning (early game) with full health and ammo while you are chasing down the third is just terrible. Its put me off playing.

With the new controller legend passive you don’t need to just look at the health bar, when you hit them while its active the damage has a little yellow icon besides the shield damage you do. I probably didn’t describe it Well but you Can definitely tell if you know.

They dont want controller players to play this game. Tap strafing in a competitive game has so many plus's that stack upon many different movement techniques. They nerf aim assist mean while a pathfinder octane and others are jumping in circles around your screen. Thanks apex for using controller players as dog feed for your sweats but im good. I know when im not welcome, so long i quit! The map is not good. They box you into areas with buildings all around you that people fly onto its not fun. The only thing is you kight be able to get a 20 kill game because youve been respawned 9 times on the flip side many games you are going 0-9 your kd is going to move down or up if you are mnk faster then ever. Mnk players arent better they can do moves in the game you cannot do with controller its not fair and its the dumbest thing i have ever experienced in video games. I wasted a year and half of my life for a scummy pos game. I cant say enough how much i hate all apexs tactics it should be outlawed or if you want to make a gambling game with perceived values dont do it on kids. Its worse then mr.beast taking advantage of kids. Screw apex

Is it just me or does the game function extremely bad on the ps4, highest fps in gunfights is 35-45 and during the landing its near 23 fps on a ps4 it feels worse than playing the game on a laptop. Due to my native servers being completely empty i also have to queue up in london servers with 130 ping with 30 fps

The maps is terribly small, third parties are insane, and too many choke points. Cool idea but map is not the best. Edit: Also, the loot pool is garboso. Little bit of loot sprinkled here n there, i'd rather play other maps that have good loot distribution.

Oh boo hoo, the respawn mechanic means 3rd parties aren't a big issue as you can come back into the game and claim revenge fast. With that said I haven't experienced 3rd parties anywhere close to the amount you get on Kings Canyon.

Definitely a huge learning curve but the revival is just like resurgence from COD! But with apex’s character diversity! I think im honestly going to start playing more often!
