Thanks for this video. Another crucial soft skill to possess is prudence; that is, the ability (or good judgment) to know: a) What to say; b) How to say it; c) When to say it; d) Where to say it; e) Whom to tell it to; Or, rather: a) To refrain from telling it at all. This skill can spell an abysmal difference between success and failure. There will never be too much of it. Truth is: People who possess it are few and far between. Thanks again.

Thanks Alux. I need to work on my soft skills because I'm normally quiet but not shy with people. I'm going to take notes based on this video.
This is a must watch! I’m very lucky to be part of the Alux. Proud to be an Aluxer!

I forgot if it was about cars or fish. But I remember I felt so strongly about the category or label or application of the word so I just stopped responding because I was so passionate about this category placement. I realize either category is actually fine with me and I shouldn’t let silly conflicts or semantics distract me from being myself in completing my given life goals and work. I think it was about cars though 🥰

Patience and time management
@laurawilliams24452 жыл бұрын
The soft skills you listed all make sense. I would expand on the time management one and add the ability to correctly prioritize tasks. It’s an under valued skill that is critical for proper time management. I’d also like to add the skill of knowing your audience. All too often I see coworkers or others talking in meetings or general conversation without understanding what the person they are speaking to needs to know. This results in oversharing, wasting people’s time and does not reflect well on the one talking. The final skill that people need to learn to get ahead is the ability to read body language. All too often I have seen coworkers talk in meetings or in one-on-one conversations and not read the body language resulting in annoyed and/or tuned-out listeners. All of these skills if not learned and practiced can affect your career and how those around you view you.

Patience is the most important. Because all other skills require patience to learn. If you have that trait you are more likely to learn others as the learning process can be boring and repetitive...

"And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone NOT FOUND written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." (REVELATION 20:12-15 NKJV) Today, while you are still alive and able, may you repent from your sins, believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that JESUS CHRIST is your Lord and Savior, so that through Him, your name will be written in the Book of Life. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (JOHN 3:16-17 NKJV) ✝️ By God's GRACE, the gift of Salvation and Eternal Life is available to all. You can RECEIVE it. You can REJECT it. May you choose wisely.

You pretty much just said "don't be ADHD," ha. Not that we can't learn these skills at all, but our best natural skill for avoiding AI replacement is creativity, which does play into some of the things on your list. But most of the list can be summarized with "have strong executive function," which is, of course, exactly what we ADHDers naturally lack. Or, just go into a trade like carpentry or plumbing. We're a long way from replacing those people with AI. Sure, they won't be millionaires, but they'll never go out of business, either. :)
