Another tip for a career mode is to do a journey. For me, being an Australian, I have done a career with my home town club Adelaide United. Realistically this is my best chance of ever managing a professional club lol. From there I went to Groningen in Holland, Basel in Switzerland and then finally Aston Villa in the prem. I won a league with Adelaide, a domestic cup and finished in a Europa league place with Groningen, won a domestic double with Basel and played champions league, and then won an FA cup with villa. Pretty realistic and fun, and hoping for a big job offer soon!

I find it sad that I have to come up with my made-up, not-in-game limitations in order to keep career mode interesting. Salary caps, scouting limitations, intentionally hiring bad scouts... the list goes on.

Or you can also select a very bad team on a crappy league with little to no transfer budget. You can also make ref strict and injury risk high. Play world class. That’ll keep the game alive for a little bit longer

Another way to keep it fun is where u change club/inTL and jus keep building teams in your league or around all the league and jus watch the teams you’ve built jus clash out and manage whichever .

totally agree about adding your own storylines. In my Barcelona save, I was able to develop 2 plat level strikers and played a 2 striker formation. But after 3 seasons of winning back to back champions league. I decided to create a story where 1 of the strikers becomes jealous of the other's fame and decides to transfer to Real Madrid. I then started using a 1 striker formation to go with the "story". The following champions league was insane cause it ended up being a Barcelona vs Madrid final where it ended with my striker missing a penalty (i sim manager mode) to lose us the final. It was a loss sure but man, the whole events leading up to it was amazing

I was expecting to find micro management options like that in fifa since it’s present in nhl, but I was deeply disappointed to see they weren’t… ea should take the best of every sports game menus and try to do something better, but ea being ea; they won’t

Hey @Geografifa, I'm a real fan of your league guides, how do feel about making a guid about building your squad based on the league you are competing. For instance, pick a team for Championship promotion to Premier League and build a squad realistically. Or Premier League guide to survival after promotion, how to build your squad. How many star players, how many 30+ aged players, how many youth high potentials, how many free agents, how many back ups...what type of players and this sort of things.

I did a bilbao kinda thing with everton signed English only players it was fun challange and finding players never new about and see which plqyers play better than there rating i was horrified to find after the usual 3 english GKs there is only 1 with a potential higher than 80 and he players in france for st ettiene funniest thing is hes also called ettiene but yes i had pickford but wanted good back up ended up with butland in 5yrs he played like 5 games and i guarantee they were 2nd legs of a tie already over lol

I've been playing fifa 20 for a while now and i only play career mode not online, but i have gotten bored of it for 3 main reasons - the league tables are fucking retarded and unrealistic and predictable because the top teams never lose, and the champions league is too easy and i keep winning the final by at least 5 goals - its easier than winning an fa cup 3rd round game, and heading is completely useless. It's fucking disgusting how bad it all is and i just can't play it anymore and i do not trust the modders because their websites and links are malicious and full of malware and viruses. I'm considering getting 23, but first i need to know what its like, can someone tell me what heading is like and if the leagues and competitions in career mode are more realistic and fun?
