My go-to with the ships I currently have is Emergency Weapon Cycle, Super Charged Weapons, Strike From Shadows, Unconventional Tactics, and Withering Barrage. I'm working on some beam builds, so those will need something different like Redirecting Arrays, but I'm not sure yet. Thankfully, it's easy enough to get good traits without spending any money, through events, store coupons, etc.

Spatial Torpedo, Omega Plasma Torp, Kelvin Timeline Torp are fast firing torps. Good for stacking that Super Charged Weapons and consuming your ETM buff.. in addition to other procs you may have... Command spec, Mixed Arm Synergy...

I assume you meant tier one ship consoles. That'd be a pretty short video because it's pretty much just that one. Though I have been wanting to do a video for useful budget consoles, I'm just still figuring out how I want to format it, because there are a lot more consoles than there are traits.

Nice list. Not going to see the Legendary ones but I still haven't decided what to do with my Event Campaign token yet. Might use it get the Shran or wait for the other one you mentioned to leave the New section of the C-Store. Good info on the Onboard Dilithium Recrystalizer paired with Oberth console. I have at least one DEW character with ODR that this will surely come in handy for. Just unlocked Critical Systems and I am working towards the Improved version. One great and free one you missed is Unconventional Tactics from the Strategist rep. Paired up with Intelligence Agent Attaché or/and One Impossible Thing at a Time, you can run it frequently for a 15% Cat-2 boost. If you are a budget Tactical captain, One Impossible Thing at a Time is almost needed, as it rewards you buy clicking your Captain abilities by lowering the cooldown on them so that you can use them more frequently. Plus you also have the Personal Space Trait from the Temporal Recruitment that lowers the cooldown of your Tactical Fleet ability. Both of those combined translates into some (for captain abilities) pretty spamable buffs. I tend to think low-end, as the high end can pretty well take care of itself.

Thank you for the information video. I have a question about energy overdrive. Will it increase cannon damage with the use of preferential targeting? I currently have fire at will for the proc and hoping to increase the damage with energy overdrive.

the best starship trait and I recommend everyone to use this when they unlock it and it doesn't come from a starship it comes from daily activities predictive Algorithms this make sure weapons more powerful and it stacks up four times this is the secret to one shot in enemies you're practically a god using this trait. this is what KZbinrs and most players do not want you to know

I didn't rank them because what makes a trait good is still pretty subjective. I could probably rank these in terms of how good they are for running ISE, but not everyone cares about running ISE, most just want something that will get them through Advanced Random TFOs. Plus, a ranked like is always subject to change, there's no way to know how the meta will change as the game gets updates.

I would prioritize Emergency Weapons Cycle if you don't already have it. Lowers power cost of your energy weapons and buffs their haste. Haste is a very valuable skill for buffing damage. It comes from the Arbiter, Kurak, Morrigu, and Legenday Valdore.

I have a question about the energy overdrive trait. Does it stack with the effect of competitive impulse engines? Where activating a firing mode grants a speed buff, defense rating and tact boff recharge buff? Like if I activated beam overload would both buffs stack?

I would assume so, but I haven't tested that so I can't be 100% sure

Heart of Sol "kinda weird" hahahah yeah.... it's the only starship trait that is truly faction locked. It's 4 near-identical traits that have different faction appropriate damage types.

Works well for people like me, I pretty much exclusively use the energy types associated with the faction of each ship.

I run a few of these consistently, no mention of "one big happy fleet" off of the legendary Miranda? Is it because it's not specifically for dew builds or because it's not as good anymore? I thought it was great and I've been using it on almost every build since I got it, also I use "history will remember" off the narendra/voral a lot. Is that one decent? I guess "history will remember" will be shown under a tanking theme because of the defense buffs. But yes, I like this trait too and use it every time on any build

One Big Happy Fleet is still a good trait, the shield pen buff makes it good for pretty much anything weapons-based. I didn't include it in the video because I wanted to limit the list to 15 and didn't want to do too many legendary traits. And yeah, because it's not specific to energy weapon builds. Shield pen is an important skill for torpedo builds though, so it'll probably get brought up when I do the torpedo traits video. History Will Remember is really better as a tanking trait because of the buff to threat generation and will definitely get brought up when I do the tank traits video. It's damage buff isn't that powerful because it take time to build up and is only cat 1, but its still pretty nice because it stays active until you change maps.

I love the content you do for this game. it's helped me and probably many others in so many ways I've been playing since 2017 on console, and even I still get lost on things in game. The skill tree being one of them.

I use the same skill tree for all three career types, its designed to be as versatile as possible. There really isn't much difference between eng, tac, and sci characters. what's more important it the builds you put on them.

was watching this again , i see it looks like the enhanced plasma manifold got nerfed >?? it shows +50 for 15 secs and + 10 for 15 secs , ob dil recrystal was a bit over 3 mil today and i think that will be great on my kelvin intel dread with override safeties

are you trying to deceive the people who are watching actually the first trait you mentioned onboard dilithium recrystallizer I recall getting from a ship can't remember what ship because I've got so many. worst starship trait is emergency weapon cycle miners 50% to weapon power now why would anyone want less weapon power every 30 seconds I wouldn't want my ship to be weak a starship trait what is a pile of garbage
