I answered him: "Unlike most people, I do not seek attention. I give attention and I do it only to people and matters that are worth my time. I used to be fun back in the day. Now im shy and depressed and straight weird, no wonder nobody chills with me. But I feel nobody understands me or thinks like me, so its hard to fit in with people. I dont like being anti-social, I always just wanted to be a normal young adult, doing normal things like business school and going out, meeting people. But because im far from normal, the path im on now suits me. I trust my brother. IDK how ima do it, but I have hope. Ima just keep trying because I refuse to give up on a very important person in my life. The biggest issue is love and standing up. I take care the best I can, but lack of love makes me lack discipline, its easy to get emotional and get lazy, than it becomes difficult to grow through the tough times. Its hard sticking to my responsibilities when the going gets tough, my brain needs at least one comforting thing at the end of the day, I need to chill out and doing something that involves high dopamine stimulation or my discipline falls off.

Many of these I already do... I think if I had to pick one, it would be to face my fears more. I don't usually allow my fears to stop me, I will keep pushing even if I'm terrified... But I don't actively seek them out to overcome them. I actually have planned to go bungee-jumping sometimes this year. (I get dizzy just standing on a chair, plain rides have to be drowned out with music to stop thinking about all the things that can go horribly wrong, and when I tried to jump of a dresser a few times to overcome said fear one time, my body ended up first paralyzing my legs, and when that didn't stop me, my entire body. On the bright side, I now know how a paraplegic feels. And I actively support assisted suicide for anyone unfortunate enough to experience it if they want it. I know I would have.) Doing things that are both fun and scary sounds like a good idea to test out. That, and travel more. More than I already do I mean. Perhaps to somewhere exotic, like China or Tibet. Or Egypt, if it's safe over there now. Spiritual journeys are good for the soul and all.

I live in Europe and I put away EUR 20 a week towards my 'special travel fund'. I have a summer holiday every year, but my 'special travel fund' is for really special places. I was in Syria and Jordan in 2009. Then I went to Mongolia and finally saw the Gobi Desert in 2015. Now, I'm saving up for the Amazon rainforest in 2021. The flights and tours with guides are expensive, that's why it takes me 6 years to save up for them. But.. every week.. that goal comes just a bit closer.

I've been working on paying more attention to people, actively listening and learning from and more about them as much as I can. It's been fun and helps me feel more connected and grow. I've always loved travelling, but I have yet to try travelling alone. Definitely something I would like to do in the near future. Other areas I would like to work on is fighting for a cause I care about and facing my fears. OFFLINE

@@brainfornothing When it comes to learning instruments, it's good to invest in private lessons. KZbin can be a supplement to your music education, but really, you need the in person feedback. Some things, you have to take lessons for. Now for learning a language, that you CAN do on your own, except when you need to practice with native speakers. But other than that, yes you can study learning a language on your own. But music is interactive.

Another way to live an interesting life. Just go do it even though you're not very good at it. Especially us men. And don't wait for others to do something intersting. Usually they're a bunch of let downs and will talk you out of it. So just do it.
