If you like the Luna moth, check out its cousin, the Madagascar Moon Moth. It looks like a Luna moth on acid! In fact, their whole family, the Saturniids, are all big silk moths with beautiful eyespots. I believe they are the most beautiful of all land animals. The largest moth in the world, the Atlas moth (which can grow to have a 35-cm wingspan) is a Saturniid.

The Brazilian Treehopper is, in fact, an alien being from somewhere in the Andromeda galaxy. It uses that antenna-like structure to contact the mother ship. Well, this makes as much sense as most of the narrative in this video.

I used see hundreds of elephant hawk moths. Even cooler, I had their relatives in mi garden: clear-wing elephant moth, which mimicking a bumblebee. They actually are very friendly and velvety. As a kid I used to love letting them land on me. Luna moths belong to my favourite family of moths, the Saturniids.

I don't collect, but my highschool teacher did zoology teacher, one day a black and red moth was on my leg before school while waiting at the bus stop... it didn't fly away the hole, he took it and added it to his moth collection rack. Also before the class was over, I found him a Luna Moth and gave it to him, I scored a 105 A+ for his class lol. Luna moth were common in my area of town, I've see them all the time each year. He cryied because of it. good stuff

I think that the "Brazilian Treehopper's" Tree like appendage in the top of the head serves as second view in 5 sides and when a predator does attack behind probably knowing that the second view cannot be used for the back and that's where the long spike part comes into action. And that's my theory I guess.....

Kudzu beetles aren't on this list but they have a cool shape. They go thru the same metaorphosis as butterfly and ladybug. The babies are almost translucent w/ slight hint of green. When they reach adulthood, they can be army green, chocolate brown, forest green, &/ or dark mustard yellow brown. They blend in w/ kudzu speckled leaves. I think they're in the stink bug family. They let ya know when they're scared. Shooo wheee...
