Modern games though graphically/technically so advanced, just lacks the soul these old games had. 2008-2013 was the best period for gaming industry. That addictive and fun to play elements of a video game has been traded for more realistic approach.

Nah he's right just listen to the people who actually create these games in their teams. Overworked and pushing for deadlines. It's a monopoly. You buy the new games and the season pass, get maybe 2-3 dlcs during the lifecycle of this hypothetical game then move on to the next one. There's now standing by your product anymore. I think the problem with current gen remasters of 7th gen games is that they sometimes become to colorful and end up looking clay-like. Sometimes a lack of contrast and color makes a game look more realistic. Cod remasters come to mind.

I completely agree ! They don’t even update the actual graphics for a lot of the remasters too.. almost like they just put a filter on it and that’s it . Some remasters are amazing but most are just a cash grab cross gen port

Remember VANQUISH? That one is an unbelievable eye candy for the PS3. A few more honorable mentions: -CoD MW2/MW3(just to point out how well the PS3 held both the graphics AND smooth framerate and control response) -Mirror's edge (artistic style made it look next gen) -Mafia II -Deus Ex: human revolution - Tron Evolution (cool artistic style made it juicy as well) Your list is rock solid tho!❤

IMHO, most of the late PS3/360 games still look very good and they were held back by their uneven performance and, in some cases like Alan Wake, low resolution, but the visuals themselves still look great. I also think you should have included Beyond Two Souls in the video, as it has probably the best looking character models from that generation. Great video nonetheless.

I first got into the PS3 around 2014 and then bought my own PS3 Slim in 2017. I didn't get into the PS3 when it was first launched because I have a 360 and the PS3 was US $600.00 There were games I want to play on the PS3 Ratchet and Clank, Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, MGS4: Guns of the Patriots it was the one game I wanted to play on the PS3 and I love Metal Gear, and The Last of Us. Thankfully since owning a PS3 I have those games and my most valuable game on the PS3 is Folklore would love to own 3D Dot Gaming.

You can tell that the PS3 was the better powerhouse when looking at games like Uncharted 3. It only took so many years for developers to get everything out of that system.

I sometime feel sorry that devs only started to utilise the true potential of PS3 when 7th gen gaming had started to phase out. If only there were proper multi platforms port made for the console , it could've had even better games in its library.

2007 to 2015 was the best era gaming ever had Recently bought a PS3 and ended up selling my PS5. Graphically there are games that are unplayable now (I don’t remember screen tearing being so bad but I guess part of the problem is modern HD TV’s) but when a game hits right and plays well.. miles better than anything of the last 10 years

I have not played any console games since the ps2.. so i don't know any of these games. I do want to get a current gen console this year, still chosing between Xbox Sx and ps5.. hopefully there's a good catalogue to play older games as well..

​@@tm_esco i had the same situation - missed so many titles between 2006-2014(reading magazines about games like AC1, NFS Pro Street, GTA4, Arkham series in the 2000s almost crying that I always had such outdated hardware) until I finally made my childhood dream come true - bought myself a PS3 two years ago, been playing LIKE CRAZY and cannot be happier. You have my full support, go for it, the PS3 is amazing.

I got the ps3 for a great deal and it came with the original controller just had to replace the thumbsticks since they were worn out and also got another generic controller for free and I've never been happier. It also came with 15 free games and I also added 10 more I'll never be getting bored again any time soon. I really missed out on so much, always heard stories from friends and read magazines and gameplays on KZbin but I'm glad to be a proud owner of one. Have fun !!! Also if you play online maybe I can have your gamertag?

Nah Halo Reach was miles better than Halo 4 that still looked good to this day. I set the TV settings to natural for Halo Reach and you could see the attention to detail and visuals more clearly it made me even love Reach even more.

That Killzone 3 looks fantastic. I would like to see that much higher. It looks much better than Crysis 3. Otherwise, L.A. Noire looks awesome, but I'd rather see Mafia 2, which even today has awesome character models and is one of the most underrated games. Amazing story, physics and incredibly great gunplay. The Last of us is a gorgeous apocalyptic world and its atmosphere could not be imitated even by the sequel. In the end, Gears of war 3 looks much better than Judgment. I still really like Assassins creed 3. The naval battles and the magnificent changes of the season have all the charm
