EVERYONE needs a day off!! I always take Sunday off! If this kid goes at it hard every day, 365 days a year, you run into the risk of getting burned out!! But, I wish him the best of luck...IF he wants a career in the Major Leagues!! It's a long road...but he definitely appears to have the drive.

my son wants to be a catcher. he is six years old and catches for his farm team and they want him for travel ball, but he wants to "get better" I haven't caught since I was a kid, so I wish I had someone like Dylan around to help him. Just awesome.

We never had techniques taught to us like this in High School. To say, “the game has changed,” is a huge understatement. I played in College and never saw this level of “training”. That was 40 years ago in Santa Barbara, Ca. Man, have the times changed...oh yeah, huge, no MASSIVE understatement. Good luck kid! I’m sure he’ll put on more weight and get stronger through the years.

Well it’s kinda about work ethic, not really about how good you are at baseball now. A work ethic like the no days off subjects will get you far in a few years.

For baseball thanks for adding that. People are forgetting about Sky Brown the pro skater at 12, and whatever his name is, the kid who did ninja, skating, surfing, unicycling and stuff. A lot of them get on for how hard they work though, because these kids are ambitious and hard working, although some can be spoiled or annoying.

I've been where he is. This is now a full time job for this kid... a business. I didn't hear one word in this where the kid says he's having fun. And once that goes, so does the dream.
