A big lesson here for aspiring vocalists. I particularly notice the lack of vocal gymnastics so often seen and heard in talent comps.. a refreshing and welcome change. Just singing with great control and feeling, and genuine..

I reckon the musicians were delighted to back him, they recognise talent when they hear it. Also reckon other singers will be clamouring to sing a duet with him. I loved his rendition of Neil Young as Old Man. I think that any Neil Young songs would have been a great performance by Sawyer. He kinda reminds me of Young...he enjoys his life of country, away from the limelight, just him and his guitar being able to compose songs , a storyteller with a unique voice . Pharrell Williams was the perfect choice to coach him because he let this boy continue to be himself. He is a young Bob Dylan who just wants to enjoy telling his stories through the simplicity of his talent...just a boy with this unique voice ,his guitar and having the capabilities of reaching fans all over the world with this.
