Great job, please consider wearing safety goggles/ glasses when strimming I personally have had hard lumps of mud fly up and hit my face when working with a strimmer. They will definitely be needed if you use an angle grinder as someone as suggested for the edges. Good luck with your venture it is an excellent idea.

Well done, very thorough job done! It might be easier now it's cut to take out those upright slabs in the middle so you can get clear runs up and down with the mower but I'm sure you will have worked that out already. A really excellent job.

instead of using a strimmer to get a sharp edge against concrete slabs, use an angle grinder with a stone cutting disc on it. itl be be like black and white difference. ule have to obviously spend a bit of money but if u can save up then its definitely worth it. people love sharp edge definition of their lawn edges. good to see a young lad working hard. i was like this at your age. had endless supply of energy.

Good start. I suspect if you peeled some of that 'turf' back that was closer to the house you'll have found slabs underneath. Grass travels a long way when it hasn't been cut in a while. So take a look next time and the finish will be better for it.
