Isso voltou a ocorrer após a FIFA proibir que empresários fossem donos de direitos econômicos de jogadores em 2015 (TPO Ban). Hoje somente clubes e jogadores podem ser donos desses direitos. Com isso, investir na base voltou a valer a pena, pois os clubes passaram a ficar com 70%, 80%, as vezes 100% do valor da venda de jogadores.
