Just looked for a connection between Grateful Dead and Infrared (Infradead on the pocket suggested it). Grateful Dead had an album in 1991 titled Infrared Roses, and also released a video called Infrared Sightings. It may be worth checking whether he had a direct (or business) connection to Grateful Dead, or perhaps he was just inspired by them to name his business that way.

@@kevintyerman1906 There is actually a Canadian metal band called Infrared. I reached out to them but they say the shirts weren’t theirs. It was definitely one of his bands in the 80’s.

The slate looking meterial is graphite it is used for high temperature glass and metal work

I would guess that Everything in that tote with those glass sticks was things that they used for working with the glass, might want to keep it together.

That's not slate it's soapstone for casting metals

@@RuralPickinDad no doubt they used it for glass by everything else in that box, but those look like molds for pouring Ingots or bars
