150 Changes In Ark Survival Ascended!

Reason a lot of the build mechanic changes (e.g. tree platform snaps etc) are in the game is cos the S+ mod creator now works for WildCard. This is a great thing cos it was handy not having to put down a foundation on what is essentially a foundation itself. Plus trying to get the foundation lined up on the tree platform was always a pain so I'm glad they changed that.

He should have mentioned that typing commands now has a predictive system where it will try an autofill a command you are starting to type if you are using a keyboard, its extremely useful and can help find commands without needing to search them because it includes a short description of what the command does too.

In the northern canyons of SE the waterfalls are much cooler than the surrounding area. Great PVE location. The last waterfall headed towards the sand has a neat little cave as well.

Tiny detail here but at 6:37 when the tree is knocked down, you see the titanoboa slither underneath it. I just feel like it should have hit an invisible wall or should have gone over it but the way it got past the obstacle in such a realistic manner is so satisfying

Yup. Wildcard let's modders do all the work, and then take credit for said work. They even use modded content in promotional trailers for the game. Modding used to be volunteer work, like working in a soup kitchen. Modders got support from donations and kept the full amount of said donations. But now they barely recieve half of the funds from their mods, and get their credit and ideas stolen by wildcard. What's more, is many of these premium modders are locked behind contracts, and are not allowed to work on mods for ASE anymore without getting into legal troubles. ASE keeps recieving updates promoting ASA, which makes it outdated to many mods still available for it. Eventually, no mods will be functional with ASE anymore, and the devs will force all existing players to switch to ASA. Scummy company and dev team

Honestly, I like ASA, I just wish snail games weren't greedy. So I'm going to rant about it. Paying for ASA: it's fine imo, think of all the over games that got a remaster that requires being paid for while only changining the graphics/bugs, while ASA added a modding UI (amazing for console players such as myself), graphics and fixing bugs, bunch of QoL changes, and probably a few other things. You could argue ASE could've done this, but im pretty sure the coding in that game was held together with duct tape and prayers (correct me if I'm wrong of course). Next, the DLC: The DLC itself isn't what annoys me, but the way they inadvertently (or purposefully) taunt you with it PLUS the stupidly overpowered oasisasaur, does. Multiple pop ups, be it trying to tame an oasisasaur or get burried treasure, to tempt you to buy the DLC, which is just scummy. The creature itself still spawns in as well, another attempt by snail games to get you to hand them more money. In addition to all that, I also believe the amount of content you get for the price isn't great at the moment (but i assume that'll change as more maps come out). Previous DLCs on ASE were whole maps. The P2W creatures themselves: The oasisasaur (or however you spell it) is really OP, making it literally pay to win if you play PVP, or any official server for that matter. Same for the other creatures behind a paywall (that being the pyromane, spooky horse thing, and probably more to come). And what's worse is that they still spawn in the wild, giving you a pop-up to buy the creature/DLC if you attempt to tame it. AGAIN, another attempt by snail games to get you to hand out more money. The worst offender of all of the problems listed, is the pyromane/spooky horse thing, and for one reason in particular. If people buy it, which they have, it will give snail games the greenlight to make more. All in all, the extra paid items by wildcard (forced by snail games due to being the parent company) are sloppy in both design and execution, most likely just another cash grab.

You know.. ark should add a tracker round for the sniper rifle that does 1 dmg and can track dinos for up to 2 ingame days just by looking at the map. I think this would be a really cool addition because it stops the dinos you want to tame to despawn, and gives you time to prepare for the taming.

Something I want to come to Ark, as weird as it sounds. weapon skins that alter the weapon, lets say for the long neck rifle, you can get a skin where if you apply it, you turn the rifle into a single lever lock rifle, into an actual lever action. However, me and a few others appreciate some of the changes, but the likes of the Oasisaur is a name that is goofy and a creature no one asked for but hey, gotta keep the player base who make Ark their life online. Turn the automatic pistol into a machine pistol. However the treasure chest can make for a cool potential "hidden" storage, you can add stuff from simple fabric, wood, to even metal.

Meshing of dropped items on the sand, the map locator for tribe members never works or shows the right location. The reason ark cheating is so bad,duping is bad, mega tribes are bad, and pillar spamming on pve is so bad is because there is thousand's of people selling tames, items, base spots, boss fights, etc for cash on facebook, ebay, and other marketplace sites, thousands maybe millions of dollars is the incentive, the more money people spend on those sites the more cheaters do what they do. The more people on pve will spam land just to keep people from using it because they want to have a monopoly on the digital real estate and assests. casual players will be over shadowed by literal company's. every thing else is a symptom of a problem this is the problem.

@jmc2830 a gpu I had with evolved was a 3060 ti. Averaged 90 fps on that with medium-high settings. Ascended, same gpu, lowest setting with clouds and fog turned off, maybe 50 fps. I have to have a 7800xt and even on medium settings I get like 90. On high, forget it, 50fps maybe
