I got my 28 from Cult Pens & love them Lucy. To be honest, 100 in total is more than enough. I think with 150 it would be overwhelming. Cult Pens are very good at replacements. I love the extra greens in this set. I can never have enough greens.

@@rach1972Derwent is only making 100 of the 150 colors of the Derwent Chromaflows available open stock. They have decided to only make 50 of the colors available for sale in the 150 set of the Derwent Chromaflows.

Cult pens were doing an exclusive offer of all 78 new colours in a wooden box of 72 plus the other 6 pencils in a jiffy bag.for £125. It was on pre order and delivery April and May. The offer has now ended.

I just got the 28 from Cult Pens too and love the colours. Would say that Derwent are withholding the remaining 50 from open stock so they can sell the full 150 sets. I won't buy the 150, as I already have a 24 and 72 set. I won't buy anything that isn't open stock now.

If you look at Derwent's new colour chart for the Chromaflow, you'll see stars next to the numbers of the remaining 50, and at the bottom of the chart it says " * Pencil available within 150 Tin only, not sold individually", so I'm not sure the remaining 50 will ever be available open stock. :( We can only hope...I really wanted the 'olive yellow' and 'spring bud' colours. However, I would only want pencils that I can replace open stock without rebuying the whole set, as otherwise I'm afraid to use them up (silly, I know :p), so I have ordered the extra 28, but won't personally be getting the full 150 set unless the remaining colours do eventually become available open stock.

I was sooo excited when I heard they've extended the colour range. The chromaflow are my fave pencil for colouring, they are like silk to use. I'd best get saving up for the new set 🙂

Cult Pens had a limited edition of the 78 for pre-order in a wooden box as I got them, but I suspect that they only had a limited number available. The 28 set was the 'top up' for the 72 set up to the 100.

Hi Lucy thank you for the link I wanted to get them for my birthday on the 29th of April.. and you just saved my life thank you 😊 I ordered the 28 set from cult pens the postage is shocking but it doesn’t mater.. im devastated on what u said about only 28 colours for open stock.. im waiting on tax time hopefully the 150 will come down and and I can get it at a bargain price.. Thanks, Lucy, I understand your problem. I can’t afford to buy 150 more Derwent pencils either. I’m in the same boat with the Prismas. I only bought the 72 set when I started coloring last year. Now I want the 150, but need to save up for it, the Derwents also. Oh, well.

You are not going to believe what happened to me today! I ordered the 78 box set from Cult Pens(sold out now,but I’m sure there’s another 78 set in the wind) and they were due today. Sat and waited, then got an email from Royal Mail saying they’d tried to deliver and I wasn’t in…I was sat in the room… with the door open…got straight on the phone and they are coming tomorrow…😢😂🤣

Thanks for this info. I went to the website earlier this week and that colors list only had 27 color names. I was trying to find the 28th color and it was missing Willow on their website so I emailed them about that. Thanks for sharing what was in the 28 new colors set. I have the 32 and 72 set and I am like you I just want to purchase open stock...but if I can't by Christmas that set is going on my wishlist for sure!

Lucy these are so lovely !❤I’m currently culling my cheaper and unused pencils as I’ll be moving probably in about 7 months . I am giving them away and to be honest it makes me feel so good as they’re going to school teachers and I love thinking of the kids getting nice pencils! So I’m ok waiting to see if the 150 are released on Amazon Canada . I love cult pens so that’s a good option as shipping would be free too . Possibly for my birthday in August ❤

Derwent should have throught about and got things in place before there went ahead and realised tbh. 1) making sure we can get all the colours open stock. 2) having the option to just buy just the new colours Sounds to me it's been rushed to get them out without a care and respect for their customers' needs. If there can't cope with having 150 colours open stock, there shouldn't be a 150 set

Oh my, I didn't realize that the new colours wouldn't be available open stock! I was looking at the 78 set on Cultpens and thought I might save for the full 150 as I don't have time to draw right now. Buuuuuut... Sounds like there's no point in getting them either way. I was particularly interested in Moon Rock in case it would be a good replacement for the Coloursoft Persian Grey. However, a moot point. ☹️

Thanks so much Lucy for this video. If I did not not already have the 72 set I probably would have bought the 150 set. I emailed derwent to ask them if they plan to release a set containing only the 78 new colors. I am pasting their answer below: ‘“We currently have no plans to produce an expansion set of the new 78 colours however, you can purchase 28 of the new 78 colours as singles on our website. Due to the complexity of having all 150 colours available as single pencils, we are unable to offer this at this stage. I have passed your comments onto our marketing team for their consideration”. So it’s going to be a while, if ever…

I just discovered your channel and I’m glad 😀 I did. After watching Harry swatch the whole set, I considered buying it but they are back ordered, even your set 😢. But I think Derwent needs to rethink their approach because who wants to spend all that money and then not be able to reorder one pencil? That’s nuts ! I really just wanted their grayed down colors to add to my set of their drawing pencils. I already own a full set of Prismacolor pencils. Who on earth needs another full set??? Geezoid 🤨. Well, I have till next month to decide. Maybe I’ll find enough money under my seat cushions 😂

Lovely aren't they? I got the extra 28 to add to my 72 set. Unfortunately my Lincoln Green is very hard and scratchy with a small streak of brown through it and the colour doesn't match the barrel. The rest are gorgeous though. I'm going to the Derwent Pencil museum next year for my 60th birthday so hopefully by then I can get the rest open stock from their shop. Thank you for the review. X

I’m fine with the28 and getting the last 50 increments once they are available. It’s how they went from 36 to 72. I actually took 35 years to complete my set of Caran D’Ache Supracolor, from the set of 40 I bought with my first paycheck

When I went to Cult Pen site, I knew i could order 150, or 28 of the new colors, but i also heard of a wood box to preorder that will contain the 78 new colors. I decided to just order the 150 set, and be done with it. I have had the 72 for just a few months, yet using them quite a bit, so these can be my extras. My set has shipped and is just shy of entering the USA, so I should have these before month end. Don't fret about open stock. These are too new yet. But the main thing is, I could NOT wait for Amazon USA to have these for sale.

well it is more than a little sad, basically you are forced to buy the whole set of 150 if you want the new colors, BUT you can't replace about 50 colors when they wear down. sorry, i'll spend my money on holbeins which i am working on collecting the whole set.

They were so expensive, £154.26 for me to the US. That was Amazon UK and included shipping. Just under US $200. Ouch! The pinks really run purple, except for that Cerise. I do love the Lincoln Green, which I have in the Coloursoft line.

hi lucy, i looked aswell i went onto derwent site and was adding all the new ones to my basket, talk about confused when i realised it wasn’t the full 150 🙈 im sure they will bring them out open stock soon, i don’t see why not. i agree im not spending £150 on the full set, not just because i don’t want to double up on what ive got, but also that’s how much my prismas were, and we all know that nothing beats a prisma for softness etc, i don’t think they should be around the same price personally. the new colours look gorgeous, i was hoping they’d bring out some more greens especially as the 72 set seemed a bit disjointed green-wise. i might try these in our eriy book next time 😊

I read that, too. And that cannot be true, perhaps they meant to add, "not yet", because this just doesn't make sense at all. They have all other pencils available open stock, perhaps this will happen down the road, after the sets become available all over. Give it a few months.

I live in California, and bit the bullet on April 02 to order the full 150 set thru Amazon UK. With the shipping and tax it came to $190.00. Arrival date given as by April 24th. I already have the 72 qty set, but I am impatient to have all of the new colors! As of yesterday I still could not locate any American seller for the 150 set. Hopefully later on this year? Maybe for Holiday season?

Derwent has printed in small letters on the color card with the 150 colors that 50 colors are only available in the 150 set. These are not sold individually! Perhaps everyone should write to Derwent with their displeasure to motivate them to bring the 50 colors onto the market individually (or as a set)!📝

Hi Lucy thank you for sharing your experience of purchasing these new pencils. I have just looked on the Derwent website and they do have some of the new colours at around £2.00 each but they do not have the full 150 available as yet. It might be worth dropping them an email to see what they say? I rather like the Coloursoft my self but now I’m getting used to softer pencils since joining the Channel membership I think I will give these a try. Thank you for the fabulous content as always.❤

I’m found asking Derwent direct for a replacement far easier, I’d bought from WHS and just told them the number of a mixed lead colour that needed replacing

Hi Lucy , I got my 150 set yesterday and the issue you’ve had with pineapple I had with soft yellow and emerald , like the core is weirdly crumbling, I don’t mind a broken lead as I just superglue it back but like your pineapple it’s just crumbling away . Derwent are definitely releasing them all open stock but I think they’ve missed a trick they should have waited til they had full stock of sets and open stock as it makes people fed up ! Having said all that I love the new colours ❤️hope you can get the rest soon ! Xxx

Am I looking at the wrong set on Cult Pens? I found the 150 Derwent Chromaflow set out of stock but available for preorder now at the price of $241.05 USD. Even converting back to English pounds it would be 193.61 pounds. Prices sure climb fast when demand goes up.

So that was horribly expensive, Lucy…I bought the full 150 set for exactly 150£, which is 1£ per pencil, while you paid 38£ for 28 pencils. So buying open stock all 78 if possible, would cost as much if not more than buying the full set. I am so fortunate to be able to buy them, I know, but trust me, not many would want…no, never mind. Not for KZbin. Lucy, do you know how to order from Amazon Japan? It is just like your uk one, so you could just type in Romantic country second tale, and voila! And just keep the uk one up on another page for comparison. Buy that book. The paper is so much better, and your hands will be so grateful. I would buy it for you, but I do not think you can use your uk wishlist to buy things from Japan. And the shipping and tax for me to first ship from Japan to me, and then to you, yeah, I guess i could probably have bought you the full chromaflow set by then… 😂😂😂😂😜 but I do not have a problem with the regular ( for us) Romantic country paper , but I never used prismas on them, as I do never use prismas until now because I do not like them. So maybe the problem is prisma on the non asian prints of Romantic country books

So you can buy a set of 150 colours but you can only get 100 individually if you want to replace any. I hope that helps. X

I have the 72 set and was able to go on Cult Pens a couple of weeks ago and pre order the completer set to bring it to 150, it was a bit pricey, but I didn’t feel I needed to get duplicates right now
