Newton’s second law means that the motion of an object is based on the net force on the object and the weight of the object. So by using a dampener there is less force on the object which results in less acceleration (of the GoPro not the kwad)

Curious what you could get out of a Lithium Ion pack. It kinda blows the sub250g option out due to a 3s 18650 is around 155g. But the possible flight time improvement is a real bonus. Also, it would give issues on clean/dirty plate and need adjustment. But... i have several 3 to 4in quads that are geting 12(flown agressively) to 20+min flights on 3s 18650 3000mah using 1404 to 1408 3600-3700kv motors. Current limitations for a VTC6 cell are around 15amp continuous and 30 amp burst.

@@m8rx007 i think this one in the video can still use an analog set freely, which brings down the cost considerably and keeps your options open to different drones (if you have a fleet) where you can swap drones and keep the same goggles. Using the DJI system kinda constricts you a bit within the system if you want to view vtx stream from different drones (unless you get an analog mod on your DJI goggles), and the air unit is heavier than this stripped down Go Pro, and i dont think it will do 4k. even though the caddx options might be lighter... there are just different advantages to this kind of setup depending on what you want to do. it's an interesting set of options that are offered right now in the FPV world

one question, the sensors in the motherboard in the gopro were calibrated to the position of the camera sensor, and use that data to stabilise the footage (in EIS), did the rearrangement of the camera sensor and the board affected the stabilisation capabilities of the gopro? if it did how did you tackle that??

Did you leave the analog camera on purpose? I dont know how modern gopro's work, but when i built my first quad years ago with something like a gopro 2 or something like that, ofcourse it was a big 450 frame, i just bought a cord with a little usb connector that someone made, plugged it into gopro's USB, plugged the wires on the other end into my vTX and just flew with the video output i got out of the gopro, it could give you a video out feed on USB while recording at the same time. Dunno if modern gopros would do that, though
@ummagawdFPV4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if modern go pros do that still, but the problem with that 'back then' was the latency.... it would be impossible to fly at any speed worth shooting
