The tool is whatever it is useful for at the time you need it. To take any object and categorize it to a one purpose only item leans towards lack of imagination and engineering. A dime is worth 10 cents until it's worth 2 dollars when you need to loosen or tighten a flat head screw in a pinch. Mostly mud not rust. The hatchet edge needed more work and a proper edge. The rough parts on the handle should have been blued
