Voting is now Closed! Dave mopped the floor with these guys......seriously, it wasn't even close. CLARIFICATION: Budget was $1,500 however we had a cushion of $100 out of our own pockets so technically the budget was between $1,500 & $1,600.

I know its fun and creative to build an "overland" trailer, however; Id spend the $ 1500.oo on a good solid used 5 x 7 enclosed cargo trailer and spend the cushion of $ 100.oo to modify it.

Dave. I like the build from scratch and aluminum siding the most. Only issue I see is unpacking to sleep. Might remedy that with roof rack for storage.

Dave - Great looking rig but it is form over function. I hate having to unpack everything before I can use a space? And there is no way to keep gear secure on bumpy trails! Joe - basically a painted (and reinforced) box with a tent on the roof? Nice kitchen, but would like to see how everything is organized and how you accommodated all your gear! Winner (in my opinion) is Garrett !!!!! The use of totes and how they are stored should keep them secure, and you don't have to unpack before you go to bed. Propane tank storage are and hose to kitchen is a nice touch as is the folding table and storage. Nice deck to carry additional weather resistant items! Plywood box may need some corner bracing after a year's worth of camping though. Really guys - nice job to you all and enjoyed watching the builds!

Thanks man for the great feedback. You completely saw my vision with this trailer. I’m hoping it won’t need more bracing later in life the way I built it but who knows overtime. More plans coming for this trailer and hopefully it will be done before our trip with these. 👍 -Garrett

Dave's square drop trailer because he built the trailer. Probably the most important thing for an offroad trailer is to have all the weight low down and the other two trailers have top heavy rooftop tents.

Garrett & Joe's trailers, all the cargo is put away, So when you want to sleep you don't have to take all the gear out and leave it outside in the rain snow or attract the critters. Dave's trailer yes warm and insolated from wind, rain ,and snow. So if I had to pick a trailer that is set up to get out and ease of access of all equipment and large storage. Joe's Trailer. All 3 are have positive points. If someone else would bring all my gear. I wouldn't have to unload just to sleep, Dave's camper would work. Good Job on all 3 trailers.

Joe. He did have the advantage of being last. But the detail of the metal supports and reinforcement everywhere was impressive. All trailers looked gorgeous by the way. The one with sleeping inside the walls...could end up very hot...was there good ventilation for hot air to escape up high? Maybe there was. I'm a neat freak. I would have gone crazy packing and unpacking my gear for sleeping so I prefer the tent up top. Plus tents up top can be replaced or upgraded later. Joe's kitchen work area and storage is nice, as was on the first trailer. First trailer: awesome idea for table storage and also thoughtful dimensions for tote accomodations. The big wheels...really likely not necessary...let's be honest they are mostly for awesome looks. You guys are all very skilled. Thanks for awesome vid! Oh and the insulated sleeper one had a beautiful skin around it with great lines. Wow type projects.

I would have to go for Garrett's. By far the most innovative and has the most potential. I also thought his design was pretty simple and yet had set ups for most anything you would/could need on the road. I certainly believe his would be the simplest to use while on a trip. Joe I think kinda cheated by snagging the aluminum composite panels for free from family, but I guess it's part of the deal. Joe's is also just an enclosed trailer, nothing innovative or neat about it. It just is. Dave's had some good thought into it, but I don't think its as user friendly as Garrett's will be. Again, my vote is for Garrett's

I vote for Garrett’s. I love how you laid out the storage areas and made the tables able to hold stuff. Also the slot for the table is a super good idea. I don’t mind the tent. I also don’t like the idea of unloading and reloading all the stuff. Great job Garrett.

I think as of the most one thought of everything pretty much and really a nice set up is Garrett.......he just needs to put in some anchors were he can Ratchet down his stuff on the trail .....but over all i think it is awesome....but we will see how any of them hold up out on the rough trails.....

Yep already have that stuff and more to finish the build. You should see all that when we head out for our trip. 👍-Garrett

Joe...overall. storage and built in kitchen are the strongest plusses, but would prefer torsion axles and although convenient for some I would prefer not roof top tent. Garret...(red aluminum panels) 2nd for great looks, torsion axles, insulation. 3rd. (The complete custom) Note: could you weigh each of these empty? Very interested in net weight I will be building an overland trailer to pull behind my 2000 Cherokee XJ ...and I will probably use ideas from all 3 builds. Great job...thanks to all 3 of you!!

Garretts, you don't have to unload everything to go to sleep and your gear is bouncing around inside down the trail loose.

Ok I like them all for different reasons so it a process of elimination. Dave yours looks the most commercially correct but if you have a bunch of stuff in your sleeper and the weather gets crummy your screwed once you put it back with the water or mud and dirt you will drag in and with only one vent it will stay wet. Garret and Joe I like your layouts and I think you have minimized the dust issues but if something goes wrong and it tips the exoskeleton on Joe’s might bring it back live. So Joe for the win.

I like Garret's trailer the best. RTT and storage compartments were great ideas. Joe had the best reveal with the drone and actually driving it out and setting it up. Dave had the best looking trailer and looks like it will be the most durable, but combined storage/sleeping area would be a hassle. All 3 need pintle hitches for offroad use!
