作為一個香港人，我想說jolin是很少很少來港宣傳，通常只會在發專輯時或演唱會時來香港一兩天上節目和打一下電視廣告。她在香港知名度確實不太高＜但當然也有不少的這樣的粉絲＞，但畢竟曝光率不高。。。。基本上香港人都只是聽說過她，卻很多連她的歌都未聽過。這次她出現在MAMA，我相信很多港人見她出場的第一剎那的反應應該是「你哪位?」後來才被她現場的實力驚艷到的。

+anneyaya 比較少，在香港廣東歌也很不景氣的，因為香港人大部分哈韓，我想這是mama幾乎每年都來香港辦的原因，因為雖然我沒有客觀數據，但很顯然的港人哈韓的程度是接近瘋狂的＜當然有部分人，例如我不哈…＞香港人很多極願意花錢在韓星身上，把大部分時間放在韓星上。。。我呢，在朋友面前提到我喜歡蔡依林，他們問我誰啊…有的人聽說過她的名字，但一首歌都沒聽過。。。。一提到權志龍大家就瘋狂。。。

This is saddening although not surprising. Korea is a very xenophobic and homophobic country. Jolin's performance is beyond their comprehension. Their lack of simply enjoying Jolin's performance from the standpoint of professional appreciation says a lot about them as artists as well as individuals.

I totally agree with you. Their faces said everything. It is a real shame and pity to see these idols (who are supposed to love and respect any kind of type of art) look at her performance so pissed for something they believe is atrocious. Jolin tsai (in my humble opinion) is one of the most respectful artists througout the asian continent and (why not) the globe. Her style and respectful view of the world (meaning that she does not discriminate between a woman or a man, neither their sexual preferences) has made her the woman she is today!! I'm really upset, and for a moment I'd got the stupid idea of the idols I like to meet her, and the great featuring that they would have been able to create, until I saw this. The only one who deserves my full admiration and respect now is Jolin Tsai.

+Felopoh figueroa I think Chow Yun Fat's enjoyment and appreciation of Psy's performance is a good example, if not the complete opposite end of the spectrum, of a true artist supporting and appreciating his fellow artists despite his personal tastes. The U.S. Grammy Awards may be a better example wherein music artists of all heritages, ages, music genres, and political beliefs get together and celebrate each others talents and music and all you need to do look is look out in the audience or into the wings of the stage and you will see people grooving out to whatever artist happens to be performing at the time. I didn't think about this earlier but what is even more disappointing about Got7's reaction is that they are a JYP group. He of all people should be mentoring his groups in the diversity of the world outside of Korea. Back in the day when Jinyoung was gaining success his music and more so his performances were considered scandalous and provocative by Koreans both in and out of Korea but he persevered. He was frequently the object of criticism by the Korean press and public. His music and style was considered anti-Korean by some and it was blamed on him being influenced from when he lived in the U.S. Quite the contrary, it was Jinyoung's exposure to other cultures and other styles of music that made him who he is today. So for him not to pass those experiences and artistry on to his young artists is shameful.

Rap Monster (Pink hair with glasses) is very friendly to lgbt, he even said he loved and recommended mackelmore song about homophobia and Recently him and the kid there who sometimes didn't watch the performance (Jungkook) made a cover of song about homosexual love Troye Sivan's fools. They're listening and watching attentively, most these idols usually learning from another performances too thats why they dont give much reaction. Also, that kid Jungkook is a minor. Give him a break.

+篠田麗 Thank you for pointing out Rap Monster's and Jungkook's support of LGBT issues. I suspect that because of Mark's and Jackson's origins they too would probably be friendlier to the LGBT community. But anytime one is in a group of people and are of the minority opinion they tend to follow the majority consensus even if it is not their opinion or belief. And in Korea where they are about everything but individualism it would even more difficult for them to express their differing views within their groups whether implicitly or explicitly. The LGBT issue aside. as artists and professional artists at that their lack of enthusiasm for Jolin's performance is shameful.

I’ve noticed that with idols, a lot of them don’t clap at the end of a performance. It’s courtesy to do so even if you don’t like it (this is just what I am accustomed to for classical music concerts). Idk about Korean culture, but that’s literally the least they could do for a fellow artist and a respectable one at that...

lol so many comments saying they r disappointed, whether its cause of got7's reaction or bts's.. tbh i can understand tho, its their first time seeing the performance, just seeing them all concentrated on the performance had me super happy, and tbh we can't talk bout whether they turned their head to the front cause they were looking away or looking at the screen.. and judging someone by if they clap or not? to me, they looked like they were thinking bout something, and they were staring (whether its screen or the stage), so u never know whats going on in their heads. wow I wrote a long paragraph... but in short, theres nothing to be disappointed about. they r audience just like all the rest of the fans there, and im sure if u take a random reaction video of a fan audience out there, u'll more or less get the same reaction. All we know is, jolin was ranked 2nd on naver after her performance on MAMA, so I think that sums up how she did in general and her performance's impact on korean ppl

I understand they really don't look like there enjoying the music but plss don't think that there agenced her and what she stands for. all of the artists sitting there are really humble and opend minded about culture, lgbt right's, and race, they are all good people and would never disrespect or downgrade anyone. Jackson (guy with the White hair sitting to the left) is like one of the kindest people on earth he cares a lot for people and would always stick up for them no matter who you are or were you come from Namjoon (Guy with the pink hair and glasses) he is the leader of his group and he's one of the best out there he once said he wanted to live in a world were everyone would be treated the same no matter were you come from or who you are and he never misses a chance to correct his members/fans on respecting others and respecting themselves same as Jackson . So plss don't think badly of these guy's

so many ppl are over analyzing the situation. you can't expect them to look over excited. it's not like it's an artist they are familiar with. besides, if I'm a performing artist that has to sit there for so long after schedules n flight I would be bored n tired too. they can't be cheerful 24/7. I mean we can't do it ourselves so why should we expect them to be so just because they are artist. have you clap n cheer for every speech, event n performance?
