I watch you all the time, I learn a lot each time I watch you. I am busy putting my resin molds, the inks & the resin in my cart. Right now I have been talking to my grandson & he is going to go into business with me to make things & he can sell them ( I am not a people person) we know that at first I most likely will not be good enough to sell items but the more we do it the better we will get. He is doing a business degree in college & everything we do will be in his name, at 74 I am doing this because I know we will enjoy it, but I want him to have something to fall back on as a side job & he is really looking forward to starting this with me. I want to thank you very much for the videos you make, I enjoy just watching you. Thank you.

This "bloom" is absolutely gorgeous !!! What tools or materials would you recommend I get to just do a few resin pours, though? Really, I have so many Hobby interests, and, am on a very limited budget. So, I don't think I'll be able to afford the heat gun or anything too expensive. Is the heat gun an absolute must ? What tools are "musts" to have in doing resin pouring ? I appreciate any advice you can give me. TYSM for sharing your techniques and knowledge with us. 🥰❣😻

I'm cracking up " pops sticks to pop your petals " HA. This is a gorgeous piece. I'm in love with the poinsettia molds. Have you ever thought of grouping all 3 sizes into a bundle ? To eliminate triple postsge? Asking for a friend 😁❤💞🤗 in Kansas that wants the 3 molds. I have many purchased a lot of your mold and love them all.

@Chrissy L The shipping goes by weight, so it wouldn't matter if she ordered all 3 at once, or each one separately: total shipping would be the same.

I was experimenting with a TV tray, my first time trying resin, and it just combusted and started my house on fire! I googled it and it was called flash cure and I guess because I was using it outside the air temperature would not let the gases from the resin escape. That's how I understand it.

@Mistiesky The glitter at the edge does that feathering to the outer petals. It "shreds" them, as Julie says. 😊

Hi Julie, this Ponsietta came out beautifully. I hope you don’t mind my asking, but would the Crystal look of the Druze, still be as beautiful and sparkly, if you poured a clear coat of resin on the top? You are most probably aware of this, but I was shocked to see how quickly Alcohol Inks fade, when left where sunlight touches them. For example, the sun light shining through a window and touching upon coasters on the coffee table. So, I am now rethinking using them, have you experienced this? Once again love and blessings to you and your family, from sunny, (today 😜), Melbourne ♥️🙏♥️💐💐💐💐
@vonnie47812 жыл бұрын
I was also wondering about the alcohol ink fading. I haven’t used them very much because I’ve heard they fade. Now I’m nervous to use them.
@fairyspunfibers90982 жыл бұрын
@Mell mell That one Alcohol Ink Scare video *may* have been a bit misleading, Mell. It was made in good faith, BUT... It is possible that the inks used were inferior. They were certainly not Let's Resin inks! Daniel Cooper did a great test of the alcohol inks by Let's Resin, high concentrate, and, after 10 weeks in full sun - outside, no less! & going on 12-13 weeks now - there has hardly been ANY change to any of them (I can't see that there's been *any* change), I kid you not. So, I truly believe much depends on the quality of inks, plus he uses Let's Resin 3X, (the Daniel Cooper formulation), which protects resin from yellowing with sun exposure. Hope that helps a bit? I'm definitely not going to quit using my Let's Resin alcohol inks. Mine have not faded, either.
@vonnie47812 жыл бұрын
Thank you, FairySpun Fibers! I don’t know what video you’re referring to that may have been misleading, but if it was the one I saw, it was misleading to put ALL alcohol inks in the same category! I’m going to see how many Let’s Resin inks I have for good projects and practice with the others! I have sooo many, I hope they’re mostly Let’s Resin! 😀 Thanks again!
@margaritaphobe2 жыл бұрын

If you put clear resin on the druzy part, would the sparkle go away?

@Janis Tabor Waters No, it won't. 😊 You may be thinking of holographic surfaces which DO disappear if coated in resin (or anything else).

How do you get your resin to. Or have bubbles before you pour
@pattypeterson91282 жыл бұрын
I would appreciate if you would answer a question for me.... I was doing a beach scene and my table caught on fire! I was outside on my Lanai and it was about 90°, but not in the direct sunlight. What caused it to combust? That was my first project and evidently I did something wrong.

@Patty Peterson Wow...I hope you didn't lose your whole house?!? Everyone okay? We'd have to know a LOT more details to make a guess at why this happened. What type and brand of resin, how deep your pour was, etc...

Hey Julie have you thought of using white alcohol ink instead of colored alcohol ink and using colored resin for your petals, just a suggestion I think it would look neat.
@fairyspunfibers90982 жыл бұрын
If I recall, she did do something like that, but it's been quite awhile ago. For some reason, I want to say she used...pinks, maybe?

That is so very pretty Julie. Get a wriggle on 😂 I think that's something you Australians say. We don't say that in the US. Although you've got me saying it since I've been watching you 😂 😂 😂 I'd like to see a really pretty yellow with sapphire & midnight blue bloom and use black for the bloom instead of white if that's possible? Thanks in advance
@fairyspunfibers90982 жыл бұрын
@gregory helm That sounds like a really pretty color combo, Gregory, but keep in mind that most colored pastes are not as heavy as white titanium paste (which is very heavy, compared to other pigments). I *have* seen her use black as a bloom element, but can't remember how well it did for her. It was a geode tray/bowl pink silicone mold if I remember, correctly (?) and she used alternating rings of white and black pigment pastes.
