Love your swipe Jodi, colour and composition just Fab!Didn’t you know chaos is good!! And what cracks?!🧐…. that’s texture!! When the “cracks” add to the piece you cannot see it as a negative. The”texture” follows the colours/ cell pattern so they look deliberate. I’d take that as a sign they were meant to be there. Great work stepping up to the bigger canvases too. It is daunting but I love how you just dive in. I also cannot comprehend the climatic changes that you have to deal with. It would add a whole other level of complexity to an already difficult technique. And you just power on through it all! In Brisbane. it’s pretty much just hot or hotter all year round so no freezes here and therefore no heating required.I guess we’re lucky. Keep up the great art. Hugs D

Oh Yayy! I’m so glad you liked it, thank you!! I can work with those cracks so I’m not too worried about them but this was really a lot of fun for my first big piece. The climate change in my studio is a bit of a bear but I motor on and just figure it out as I go haha! Since I turned on my furnace at first it was also interesting to resin haha! It’s beautiful! I’ve done some 18x24 swipes and it is so hard to get all the paint off. I tilt them instead of spinning because my spinner (and house) won’t accommodate spinning canvas that big. I’ve had some small cracking at the edges, mine took two days to dry - but my cells don’t stay like yours do. Thank you so much for posting “mistakes” too. Glad to see we aren’t alone in still learning this technique. It’s still so beautiful!

Fantastic! You need to invest in a larger bottle of gold interference with the awesome uses you find. My first 4oz was nickle azo gold. I LOVE the colors in this piece. I can't imagine it could have gone better. You rock!

Gorgeous result!! I get those cracks this time of year too from my heater fan. I have learned to cover my pieces with a rubbermaid bin to keep the moisture in and let them dry for a few days. Your cracks are in great places, easy to touch up and play. I have also learned that satin finish paint cracks less. Good luck hun!

As for the cracks I know you can be creative how about taking those same colors that you used and painting in the cracks you can make it psychedelic like the rest of the painting or you can just pick one color for each correct. That can be fixed easily so I say Hah Hah Hah Hah Hah Hah. All in all it came out beautiful👍🏾❤️

I use acrylic markers when mine cracked then I resined over it. It looked super 3D. Looks great 💙

Thank you Beth! Yep, I like to do that too it does make them look sort of 3D doesn’t it. I’m a texture girl and I also like a bit of texture so I may do something a little more with these, still thinking on it. 😃🤗💜
