Lee, thanks for staying with us through these last days of 23'. Certainly one of my most challenging years in 70. As you and Maureen have guided; we respond, we hang in and we persevere. And the true light continues to shine. I was around for the tech scare of Y2K. So overblown, and here we still are dealing with crisis after crisis and never losing sight of the true light. You are a gift for many of us.

A happy and grand New Year 2024 to you and yours - wherever you find yourselves this year. And thanks, as usual, for stopping by. I was fortunate enough - back in my misbegotten youth - to have worked with Pat Paulsen - one of "The Smothers Brothers" writers. It was a hiatus summer for him - following the cancellation of the 1st iteration of "The Smothers Brothers" - and I opened for him at 'The Bunkhouse' - which was Vancouver's version of ''The Purple Onion' or 'The Hungry I' . . . I was one of less than a handful of local women players in those days - but because I could finger--pick - at a time when not many people could (late 1960's) - I got the gig. And my entire family being socialists - Pat & I/we got along well. A lot of talks about the Music scene south of the 49th; like a lot of "funny" folks - Pat was a quiet and introspective many when not on stage - and I was the lucky recipient of a lot of good advice. When I found myself playing the coffee houses in San Francisco the following Summer (after Pat had returned to the US, and was not only working for Tom & Dick once again - but was running for President) - his advice stood me in good stead.. Listening to your stories brings back some really fabulous & lovely memories of being a working Musician - in the days when there was a world-wide creative explosion in all aspects and genres of the Arts. Hope the coming year is kind to you and all those dear to you. But - no clams. LOL
