I recently learned this figure of speech that I really like: 海千山千 (うみせんやません) 'a thousand oceans, a thousand mountains' to indicate a person who has a lot of experience in life and has many tricks up their sleeves. Similar to what we call in english 'old fox'. I think the meaning and kanji are beautiful.

Sabishigariya you discribe it in wrongfully meaning. Sabishigariya based on dictionary means someone who easily succumb to lonliness. Or someone who likes to be alone
