not my favourite conditions - R to L cross wind. makes the 2nd shot difficult as the bird flares away.

Great stuff, nice timing, just shows you don't have to dig a pit over veg to get a bag.
@TheDHP156 ай бұрын
Well I was considering it. And I very nearly did "dig in". But the land is so wet, in the end I thought I'd end up hitting water while digging and I really didn't fancy sitting in a wet hole all day 😂 However, that would have meant I'd have had the wind in my back, which would have been glorious! It may have been a better option, who knows 🤷🏻♂️

It must be a county thing lol We build field hides bang in the middle of a field or on the headland and get good bags I brought a couple of light weight camo tarps with 6 eyelet rings and they make a lovely wind break. This hide had the dog go through it twice 340 with the lad on the right get his PB of 150 just shows if they want to be at that spot they will. kzbin.info/www/bejne/noCQfKVjZtCgaJo To be honest digging in means you can't move and sometimes you have to move as you have got it wrong by 150 yds Anyway keep posting the vids as they are very good. kzbin.infoUZSUR-cSzK4?feature=share

@theessexhunter1305 nice. Ye I've set up in the middle of a field before if that's where the birds want to be. Works well. I'll keep trying 😉👍🏼

Great video ! How did you get your camera quality so clear ? What did you use to keep your camera in place all day ?

Oh right, I never saw another comment and it wasn't me that removed it 🤔 Anyway, thanks that's very kind, although I'm certainly not in George's league, I do get a nice amount of practice though 😄😉🐦💥

Is that whirly on wheels it keeps moving about good day out though.
@TheDHP156 ай бұрын
😆 Yes to be honest, I was moving everything about quite a bit to get it right. I had 2 whirlers and 2 flappers, put them up, put them down, moved them around etc and in the end it honestly made little difference. The birds that wanted to come came, and those that didn't didn't! 😄

How many yards out was you taking them

Ooh, I haven't a clue. I don't wanna be one of those guys that says "I shoot 'em at 30/40/50/60/70yds" when I haven't a clue what that looks like in the air. Different story if it were a fox in the lamp - I could tell you to within 1 yard 😄 But honestly I don't know. I know what my capabilities are and I know what's in and out of range....for me. But some of them were fairly rangey 😉
