I love yarn braids. I keep Mines in for at least 2 months. They hold so much moisture and the growth is bananas! Winter time is the best time 4 these to me. Protection & growth. Love your videos

mz Tremias do you find that your hair growth gets worked up when having the braids in ?
@mayasfreebird152710 жыл бұрын
Just found and subbed to your channel... I've had yarn braids for 4 weeks (rebraiding as I write) and wanted to give you a tip for wash day. I have a few ShamWow towels that I cut in half and use to wring out the braids (I use halves so I can always have a set to use while the other set dries.)The towels are super absorbant and pull the excess water from the braids. Additionally, since they are not heavy or bulky when wet, I take the pieces and wrap/secure them around sections of braids to continue absorbing moisture while I do other stuff. No strained neck-no pain-no dryer!

I know this was 12 years ago but I’m just now finding out about yarn braids and your advice was spot on. I decided to cornrow the yarn in my hair instead and it’s definitely locking in moisture.

I love my yarn braids! What helps with the washing is if you do shampoo&water in a spray bottle and spray and massage your scalp. This creates a good lather and gets your scalp clean. Then section off and rinse just your scalp with the shower head. I did this and it mades my experience so much easier! I love your channel!

Well I'm sure it's like washing a sweater and wrapping it around your head.. It's gonna be HEAVY when wet! So I can def understand that.. They do still look like the first day you did them so I don't know what you're saying about you not knowing what you're doing! Awesome vid as always. You're very informative and we appreciate it!

What you like about yarn braids I like too. What you don't like, I don't like too LOL. It's the perfect style but one thing I hate, hate, HATE so much about it is washing and then drying. Drying takes FOREVER. So I always wash in the afternoon so it can fully air dry.

I don't see any difference between your braiding and an "experts" braids. Your work is very neat. I wish you would've shown how you take them out. Like you said, your hair held well, your hair looks as fresh as it did when you demo'd the braiding technique. Could pass for the next day photo. I really like them.

Durning these cold days the yarn braids have come in handy for that extra warmth and added protection from the harsh air. I did mines much thicker and the same length as your next go around I wanna do the inspired by solange length. There head turners and I like it ppl try and figure it out 👀😱👍

I need to get up the nerve to put some kinky twist in myself. Went to get the hair last week and they didn't have the right thing. I was kinda glad though. It's so time consuming. I had some put in last year but the lady was so rough I'm afraid to go back. Your braids still look good after a month. Good job.

Wow that is such a fast and easy way to do yarn braids, love it!. I want to get yarn braids to, I had damage my hair really bad to where my hair sent from my lower nakc to like my neck and it make me really self conscious, to go out in public, so I figured this would be the best, but on the other hand I'm also worried because I'm not black, I'm Mexican and I no that when Mexicans has a a black hair style they usually make jokes and and talk shit , So I want to no everyones opinion on what u think of Mexican girls with box braid

TiSha Gonzales. Girl it is your head and decision. If that's what you are wanting. Don't let someone's opinion or lame/rude comments or words make you feel some type of way about anything you do yourself.

If I can eat mexican food you can do yarn braids. There's nothing wrong with appreciating another culture's hairstyles or dress as long as its not offending God. Some people claim to be mature but don't realize they have a childlike mentality. Of the world spent more time working on controlling themselves instead of others we would be happier.

maybe it the way you did them but i prefer the yarnbraids over the kinky twist....but if they making you uncomfortable and they are snagging on everything,and taking longer to do then i would so stick with the simple kinky twist too....but i love those yarnbraids...
@sharnece1711 жыл бұрын
That is why yarn braids are like dreadlocks because you have to go through the same nonsense with dreads lol! Especially when they get that long. That is why when you have dreads it is good to have a hair dryer to keep from mold from appearing in your locs from having it stay wet for so long. You shouldve look at some dreadlock haircare videos to know what was to be expected.

You must be referring to my hair peaking thru the yarn. No one's hair exactly resembles the yarn which is why I don't really care for this style anymore

Dante Cooper that's relative to your opinion.... there is nothing like the real thing in my opinion... also if you plan on loc'n your hair please don't resort to loc extensions... they never work out in the end.
