I don’t wargame this era, but these minis look cool and I appreciate the look.

Hi Michael, thanks for watching. These are re-prints of the old Corvus Belli metal range and I think they’ve come out not too bad, apart from some cleanup 😁.
@MyCarnival2 жыл бұрын
You definition of "a bit of flash" is very generous. FAR too much flash and mold line clean up required on these, and the scale and material don't make it easy. These would require as much prep time as paint time.
@BattleBunkerHQ2 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, 😂 yeah some of these certainly do have a lot of mould lines and flash. I never did get any of the original metals that Corvus Belli done of these to compare, but it does seem odd that certain figures are affected more than others. I suppose I’m lucky in that my wife, my son as well as myself all wargame, so prepping and painting miniatures etc is shared by us all. Tanks for watching and take care 😁👍

i recall seeing Corvus Belli originals (Romans) and though these are probably cheaper, the metal originals I think were sharper. Its a pity range went out of production as metals

Nice review Lee. Just want to say to all the folks who were concerned about the clean up of these. It is not as drastic as you might think. I have cleaned and painted an Art de la Guerre Army us8n* these figures and they turned out really nice. It’s a pity you can’t post pics on the chat here.

Hi Scott, thank you kindly for watching and for your thoughts on the cleaning up of these miniatures. Yeah it’s a shame it doesn’t allow for pictures. 👍

Really good unboxing. Wish I gone into 15mm insted of 28mm for my upcoming HYW project. Thank you for the video. 👍

Thanks for watching Nic and glad you liked the review. I looked at the 28mm ranges and found most fit more for the later period. But after seeing these, I think they will fit the early battles well. I’ll look forward to following your HYW project. Take care 😁👍
@NicGamz2 жыл бұрын
@@BattleBunkerHQ Thx, good to know that these will work for early HYW. With 15mm there is room for larger armys on the gaming table.

Hi Justin, like you I’d not thought of Plastic Soldier Company until I saw Nicks video of his Corvus Belli 15mm miniatures and realised that PSC were producing them in Ultracast. We are all good thank you 😁👍

Thanks for watching mate. Normally I’m a 28mm person, but lately we’ve been looking at 15mm for a few projects. I can’t wait to start them, but need to finish a couple of projects first. Take care 😁👍

I painted up the PSC 100 Year War English army box a few weeks ago with some Essex Miniatures to round it out - I found the mold lines were problematic on a number of miniatures, but liked the sculpts, found them easy to paint and they were very good value for money.
@BattleBunkerHQ2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and your tips. I’ve mostly found the mould lines around the foot men at arm mainly, but as you said they are nice sculpts. I was thinking of adding in some Essex Miniatures also, how do they compare together? Did you mix them in the same unit or create units of their own? Take care 😁👍
@docmunoz95452 жыл бұрын
@@BattleBunkerHQ I found the Essex foot mixed well with the PSC foot, but the cavalry are a little too far off to mix on the same base, but fine in the same army.

Nice figures. However there seemed to be a too many knights with swords. Is this true as the unboxing was just a sample review?
@BattleBunkerHQ10 ай бұрын
Hi Andrew, thanks for watching. From memory as I’ve added to them, the French box had 18 knights and out of them they had 4 with had weapons and 14 with lance. There were also 3 mounted generals that each had a hand weapon. Hope that helps.

Agreed not my cup of tea this period. All my 15mm are metals from Peter Pig. But I am finding the smaller scale difficult to paint now. Some lovely barding to paint.
@BattleBunkerHQ2 жыл бұрын
Hi Leslie Beilby-Tipping we hope your well. The ACW is my actual period of choice, but recently I have enjoyed reading about new periods to game. I certainly understand how difficult painting smaller scales can be and these are a test to see if we can 😂. Take care 😁👍
