A lot of people don’t understand how real that excitement truly was. Zark couldn’t do anything besides laugh and scream, he couldn’t control himself. You guys were all turned up for him and THATS what it’s all about, keep on keeping on with the content boys, you’re absolutely killin it.

The most significant thing to me is that you guys were the only ones out there despite the cold, putting in that work, even when it’s difficult. People will try and diminish the accomplishment for a myriad of reasons. You used Pamela, used an Arig, blah blah. You bucked conventional wisdom, put in the work and were rewarded. That to me is what it’s all about.

Fishing the canals in Miami, I saw a sow with length and shoulders like that cruising the rim about 18" from the surface. I immediately backed up not to be seen, tossed the flyrod and grabbed the spinning (lol) rod with a senko. Peered back over the edge, but she was gone. No way to know if she had a belly/weight like that. Probably not because it was nowhere near pre-spawn. I could see down through those bug-eyes corneas. Never forget it. Just as well, even if I could've gotten a strike...no way to land her with that equipment and those steep banks.

@@jd8745 If you find one, maybe you could tell me, lol! My in-laws live in Pinecrest (120th/67th ave-ish). I saw that monster that was somewhere over 10 lbs I swear, in the C2 or maybe it's the C120 where it runs parallel to Red Rd about in the 112th st south, closer and above to the spillway barrier. My thing is flyrodding for peacocks, with the occasional largie for fun. I've never gotten anything over 16" of either, but seen some monsters of both. It really nosedived after that big freeze about 10 years ago, and I've yet to have what I'd call a "hot" experience...just hunt for stragglers is seems, but in December, it beats Chicago!

@@roberthoffhines5419 thanks for the reply...ive found a few decent peacock spots. I live near barnes park my son n I have caught quite a few there- biggest 5-6 lbs...i dont do the fly fishin..n they definitely eat live bait the best...we have caught a few on jerkbaits n swim baits...if found on a bed theyll protect that sucker with their life and let nothing near..but as far as largeys go everyone says i gotta go to everglades- done that a few times n caught a few.nothin big n few n far between...i moved here from South Dakota so definitely know what ya mean about december/winter weather...the weather is definitely the biggest + of miami for me...too many damn ppl n traffic sucks lol!

It’s something like they take the fish and breed it to stock ponds and lakes with good genetics, I think
@TheDumbBass
@TheDumbBass 2 жыл бұрын
Texas has a program to breed trophy bass and then release them and their babies back into the Texas waters to ensure they continue to have great genetics for years to come. You catch a sharelunker before spawn they will come get it and do everything to ensure it survives, they will breed them, and return them to the lake. Meanwhile the young fish are used to stock lakes across Texas with trophy genetics. These lakes that are booming now are a direct benefit from this stocking program.

If people can't tell what you guys are doing, and how you catch these fish, just from watching the videos..... they're never gonna be excellent anglers. If you don't want to show how you are using your brain to catch these fish and not necessarily the equipment, then DON'T!!! People forget that you just need to understand the fish, we know everything we need to know about it's behavior, it's habitat choice, it's freaking SEXY TIME patterns even!!! If people don't put all that together, they don't catch fish. The tools are just a small part of being able to use them in accordance with the knowledge!!!! Wake up folks!!! Kudos to you guys, those fish were incredible!!!!! Thank you for sharing the catches with us on film, really cool to watch!!!
