16 - A trip to the pub with my 6" scale Garrett 4CD

As the engine was back together after the boiler test it was a good time to take her out for a steam.
Luke (from other videos) got in touch with an idea for a steam day, and I was all in.
Traction Engine, Steam Engine, Miniatures, , 6 Inch Engine, model, coal, steam, Burrell, Foster, Garrett all that kind of thing.

Lovely to see you out and about on your machine, well deserved! When things start going wrong it's easy to become overwhelmed by a sense of anxiety and panic (well it was for me the first time round anyway!). Just remember that the people around you have all been through the same thing and will be there to help.

what trailer have you got mate? i just bought a 6 inch little samson! need a way of getting it around

It's a Ifor Williams BV105. With ramp and Barn doors. Works well.

Luckily I happened to grab a couple of tons of Welsh before all the issues hit, so I'm still on that. Will be for a couple of years probably!

There's a moment at 9:30 ish when the stack isn't emitting any visible cloud, is that nirvana or just something that happens ?

Depends on alot of different factors, and you're unlikely to get that if the engine is working hard.
