16:46 god is served when we do all we do with all our hearts for him. scriptures gave us the story of joseph in whom the jailer can see god. our sole purpose in life is to love god with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind. this is the character of god: he does every thing well, too.

41:45 we do everything we do for god for that is the purpose he made us. when we are true to that purpose, we strengthen the image and likeness of him in us: the image of love and service, the very image jesus lived for us to emulate.

21:07 excellent presentation from a mouth of one so young. i would propose that we do not look at worldly rewards for all we do. that is finite and many times, they do not come. they may even produce adverse reaction from the world that would result in what could be unpleasant, even death (christian martyrs). what we look and have confidence and faith is that our heavenly father is faithfully keeping dibs (cookie points) in heaven. that is what jesus refers to as laying our treasures in heaven, treasure that lasts in eternity from an infinite source. for god gives his own rewards for good works that man fail to give. i'd rather have god give the reward, don't we all should?

"Slaves may have had a bit of a grudge...." some people can say many things because they are privileged to not know differently
