ninja spirit was amazing, everything about it, sure the cutscenes didnt explain much but i loved that about the game it was mysterious, and you were left to put the story together

Pleaseeee start doing 16-bit gems again! I can't think of any other game reviewer on youtube that would use a reference of "how's you father" in such a hilarious fashion. Your unique sense of humor during reviews is missed!

misterkeebler I think he should do 32 bit gems now. Like Heir of Zendor: Legend and the Land for the Sega Saturn.

I laughed so hard seeing that opening cutscene after your minute-long explanation of it. "I never said the Turbografx was known for its great cutscenes." Hilarious.

@DynasticHero haha. I was thinking the same thing. I really appreciated the review and even learned a couple new things, like how Hudson was named after a train. He was a little hard on the TG regarding its 8bit CPU. The CPU never held the TG or PC Engine back from producing high quality "16Bit" graphics - just look at a comparison of Street Fighter II CE for all three 16bit systems. Ninja Spirit is a great game, though. And that pit-of-swords...ugh...what a nightmare. Thanks for the review.

lol. This was a funny review of a great classic. :D The TG port of NS was actually quite close to the arcade original. Didn't have much to do with the TG's architecture, or "faux 16 bit" grafx. Like you said in your review, this game was ported to the TG in 1988. If it was ported in 1990 it might have had better, more detailed graphics. Anyway, thanks for reviewing this game! Loved it! :)

The Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo also had similar co-processors and neither of them claimed to be 24 bit. Also in that regard, the Neo Geo and Sega Genesis have very similar chip sets with the Genesis being set at far lower hertz. Also, the 8 bit co-processor in the Neo Geo was used mainly for sound processing and CPU. It is a 16 bit system.

I have downloaded some of those games on the TG16 on my Virtual Console. Need to get out that SD card again. Also well done in the Ninja Rap from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 movie. Although you could have used Turtle Power from the first movie as that would have been awesome too,

This is one of my favourite PC engine games and really the only game on the system to scratch that Contra-like run and gun itch. And just when you think you've beaten a really tough game, try the arcade mode in the option which is some of the worst madness I've ever forced myself to play through. 1-hit deaths everywhere, bosses a lot more health and the samurai enemies with the ridiculous hp and huge swing appear level 3 onwards. Only beat that once and I'm not going back.

You really should dig into the cd library of games for the tgx16, you'll certainly be stunned by what it can throw at you with it's simple 8 bit processor :D Sure, the system can be a bit confusing (cdrom, cdrom-rom, memory expansion card for certain cd games, ...) but with the complete set, it's an amazing machine. And by the way, just happened to discover your videos, must say i love it.

Funnily enough, I do have Dead or Alive, Extreme Beach Volleyball 2 on my XBox360. However I do feel that it does lack something called...a good storymode that can make you fall in love with the ladies. All I ever do is just play Volleyball and beach games, and take pictures with Zack's camera. Could have used a Lost in Blue style of survival story to make you feel for the girls in the game.

Some of the comments regarding the game in this video are funny. The reviewer clearly haven't experienced the system's library to know its capabilities (and points to the cpu as the culprit, when clearly that's incorrect). But hucard games never really did pushed the system. I guess that would be more likely because they were the early part of the systems library (which pretty much ditched the Hucard format and went all out CD). But regardless, this game was fun BITD when it was released.

You didn't say a word about Gate of Thunder. For that crime you are condemned to thumb wrestle the Irate Gamer for all eternity! (Or you can just say that Gate of Thunder is awesome and I'll commute your sentence.)
@kikimimi Easy question, you don't need to be smart to understand RWJ, plus he appeals to a wider audience,
@TripyWay12 жыл бұрын
Because they totally don't make the same kind of video? RWJ is directed towards a wide audience, cheesy jokes, comedic videos...rage faces.... While Roo is an old-school game reviewer. That brings the audience down by 2. RWJ could be appreciated (sigh) by pretty much anyone on youtube. Roo could be appreciated only by gamers AND a specific kind of gamers. It's really like asking why your Indie rock college radio is less popular than Hot 97. Comparing RWJ to KSics thatd a good comparison
Ninja spirit was 10 times better than ninja gaiden though.. And to be honest turbografx 16 was better than the Nes. Just saying
