OhioSportsNet1 the yellow box is the goal keepers area if a foul happened in that area it can be a Penalty if you watch professional soccer it happens the same thing

There was one foul that happened outside the box, then another defender came in and played the ball, which I don't think was a foul, and that was in the box.

What's with the referees in this competition not dealing with dissent? White 14 should have seen yellow after the whistle. There was plenty through the match, too.

Defender got ball first then fouled the player. Should have performed a slide tackle instead of a hip check. The initial contact occurred at the corner of the box that needs slow motion to determine if it was inside or outside. I don’t think the ref can make the case that the foul clearly occurred inside the penalty area unless he was within a few yards of the play (which he clearly was not). So, foul and direct free kick from the corner of penalty area is the correct call.

According to the rules, it’s not where the initial contact is, but if the foul continues into the penalty area, then it is a penalty. I’m not sure if it was a foul or not, but it was definitely in the box.

Medina is likely complaining that their defender touched the ball before colliding with the attacker. That’s true; however, he then fouled the attacker. The defender was sloppy and a simple slide tackle would have been the right decision.

While I can see what you're saying, I also see that he throws a hip into the oncoming attacking player. Just because "he got the ball" doesn't absolve the player of his responsibility to play in a controlled and safe manner. It's like I always say, "... but I got the ball" is NOT a silver bullet that eliminates all possibilities of a foul.

Raider025 every 50/50 call was in favor of Ignatius. Watch the game with your eyes and you will see they were handed the game

Ref was very biased in the second half. But that was a foul and it was in the box. As bad as he was, he made the right call.
