I cry for my horse, who's probably going to get to 30, is healthy and always has been. Sometimes I cry just looking at him and wondering how I ended up with such a gorgeous friend in and out and then remembering we won't be together forever. It's very sad! As an INFP, I would feel the same way. Thinking about it, if I had a dog or cat and accidentally stepped on his paw or tail, I would cancel my plans for the rest of the evening and feed him delicious food and just lovingly pet him while telling him how wonderful he is.

P.S. I'm saying that my cat specifically prefers pets over hugs, not that all cats do, or that you should change what you do, and I'm sorry if it came across that way. You seem like a very nice person who loves their pets.

INFP is on point. This is how I felt when I stepped on my kitty’s tail at night after work. I opened my front door to kitty greeting me at the door. After our usual petting sesh at the door, she rolled belly up to get a tummy rub. I did my “oh, I love you, kitty cat” thing I do when she does that, cuz she’s so darn cute. We start walking to my bedroom in the dark and I stepped on her tail with my gym shoes on. That’s how it all spiraled to me feeling like a failure and monster.

My sister used to have hamsters and I was terrified of hurting them when I held or pet them. They are just so small, and you can feel their delicate little bones and what if I hurt them by accident.... (INFP) But I also relate to the INFJ here. My cats, my precious 6 year old, totally healthy Russian Blue never been outside house cats. Thinking about having to say goodbye to them one day makes me so sad.

Yup. One of my girls is a biter and I always tell people about her as soon as they meet her. She will pet you. If you try to pet her, you are taking a risk that she will bite you without warning. The other one will hiss and snap and never bite... All bark, so to speak. Also, though, why do strangers think that cats owe them trust and respect? As an INFP, with a cat that is currently fighting to live longer, let me tell you that the feeling of learning that you couldn’t prevent an illness or stop it before it got worse is like FJ’s description of being the most terrible monster. The inability to stop thinking about the worst outcomes and what a failure you are could probably lead you to depression at it’s finest… But if you’re currently experiencing the same, don’t give up hope ;-; if your pet is fighting, you should also keep fighting! Don’t give up on them until they themselves say it’s time…

I am so sorry this is happening to you and I know how hard it is in a global pandemic where you can't even necessarily go into the vets office with them. You're describing my last year with my dog. He fought to stay alive with heart disease at the start of the pandemic. It came out of the blue. When we noticed, it was almost too late. He barely made it in July and then we watched him continuously get worse till february this year. He even got attacked twice by other dogs when he got extremely weak (one of our narcissistic neighbor whom we then had to dodge constantly). For months, we carried him outside every half hour in shifts day and night because that's how often he had to go with his medication and he couldn't walk the stairs anymore. On his last day, our car died as well and we had to leave him at home to get a rental. It was the most horrible thing that ever happened to me and I miss him every single day. It felt like watching him run loose on a highway full of cars with only a gun to help. I am so sorry you have to go through something similar. Now, I'm constantly thinking how it was just yesterday I took him home as a puppy We have a light here for him that has burned every second since we lost him so he can find his way home. (a fellow INFP)

I think one of my cats is an INFP, too. I once accidentally locked her up in my room before going to school and she pooped in my bed. When I came back I didn´t blame her, I just wanted to clean up the mess as quickly as possible, but she felt so bad that she brushed against my leg constantly. Even though she was trapped in my room the whole day she wouldn´t leave it until I petted her and told her I wasn´t mad. She´s my sweet sensitive angel

This was literally one of my thoughts when we visited our cats to adopt them right before we adopted them. 😳 Plus other thoughts at the same time you know like: health insurance, research, injuries, who cares for them if we pass away, the never ending list. These videos are so accurate with my thoughts and feelings it really blows my mind... to the point I find myself thinking and questioning how Frank knows me so well and/or maybe I'm not as complex or as misunderstood as I thought. Actually as an intj I prefer dogs because I can get affection without judgement, unnecessary small talk & various other inane social rituals. Saying you got to get home to take care of them gives an excuse to get out of stuff too and more people are willing to allow that cause who wants to contribute to mistreatment of a sweet puppy dog. They are the easiest to train of all pets so what's spent on them can be earned back if needed putting them to work doing things like alerting you someone's at the door so you can avoid them. They ease stress, get you exercise so you save money on therapy and personal trainers, thus earning their keep. They are often safe conversation topics especially if you bring them along to be petted and is proof an intj is not cold blooded they just feel a dog is a more valid use of they're time then unproductive conversation with most people/idiots wanting to discuss unproductive "safe" topics.

For context Cheese Burger got their name bc my nephew found them on the side of the road starving after him and his Mom went to get something for lunch. When they put her in the car she immediately went after my nephews cheese burger so she was named after her first meal after being rescued. It sounds like a ridiculous name until you realize my nephew either wanted to name the cat Cheese Burger or Bob.... we chose Cheese Burger

Infj here. I felt the lost of my cat pretty bad. I still don't get over it. When he was alive and started giving signs of health issues, i knew he was gonna break my heart, he was 11 years only and had heart issues, even tho we took very good care of him, we couldn't see him suffer just like that, our cat has never cried, and in his last day of life i only could hold him like a baby, trying to comfort him. But we had to sacrifice him, im just glad he is not suffering anymore but i miss him dearly. It's like a part of me has been taken away.
