Why 16 mala daily? Is it for students also?

Srila Prabhupada has asked to chant 16 rounds daily, which takes 2 hours. Chanting 2 hours daily keeps our consciousness filled with Krishna for the entire day. Students should also chant 16 rounds. They can save time from using mobile & gossip and use that time in chanting.
