I’ve got and learnt all these 16 skills but they do not improve your life and #16 is the hardest which I’m still learning. When you have learnt these skills you will soon realise that it is all BS and means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. Those skills don’t make you successful, content or happier and if anything make your life harder and more complicated. (I’m speaking from experience) Here are five skills that are much harder to master but will give you a much better and healthier attitude towards yourself and the world. Patience, honesty, respect, resilience and compassion/understanding. If people learnt and mastered these skills instead of the predictable inept nature of the ones you mentioned, then we would have less deception and manipulation in the world.

BRAINY DOSE, awesome video. People who have these skills, especially critical thinkers are rare, I've found. People who don't have these skills love to exaggerate and tease them and talk down to them. How can this be? Why? Nothing we own or no company is run without it. Let's appreciate and tolerate each other's differences. Everyone has talents and gifts that can be celebrated!

TSC TSC no, be humble but DON'T show it to other. Rather only show it to poor people and people who you absolutely knew about it's personality if it's fine. If the world lose it's humility, then almost nothing separate us from animal. Humility itself is a good habit, but it is a tool to help other that can be misused.

Other skills are: learn to meditate. Just 10 minutes a day will make a big difference in teaching your how to live in the here and now; exercise everyday. Children run around barefoot and climb trees. As adults we don't move enough. When you make exercise as your daily routine then your body will remain flexible until the ripe old age of 100. I practice yoga everyday.

@m17434
@m17434 5 жыл бұрын
@@freecreator6426 The key with meditation is to watch that continuous stream of ideas jumping in all directions. The longer you watch your mind go, "blah, blah, blah" the more you allow your mind to settle. That's meditation. I would recommend getting yourself a teacher to show you how to meditate in person. You can't learn meditation from a book or from a KZbin clip. I learnt to meditate by studying with Tibetan monks at a monastery in Scotland for five years. This is extreme, but there are countless of opportunities to learn the art of meditation. Another opportunity is to attend a Vipassana retreat, www.dipa.dhamma.org. Good luck!

Money has it's place. I am legally blind, and there are some very specific skills that those who are either legally blind, or totally blind should know. Travel skills of many kinds, meaning either using a white cane, a guide dog, apps on your phone, or all of the above at the appropriate times. Also knowing technology skills such as a computer, iPhone, or the device. It is also incredibly important to be able to know how to use alternative techniques of blindness to do things such as daily living skills etc. The most important skill though is to know how to advocate for yourself. Meaning be able to explain to someone the kind of help that you need if it is needed, or to refuse that help in a firm but kind way. Knowing how to educate others about what you as a blind person or other blind people around you might need.

Another great skill is musical training-playing an instrument, singing or even just appreciation of classical music. It develops the brain , calms , and communicates emotion with everyone even babies, animals, and those suffering from dementia. InnerPower, I’ll clarify what I mean by fearlessness. It’s not allowing fear or doubt to control your actions. It’s okay to acknowledge fear and understanding potential consequences of ones action or inaction, but if the goal is important enough (and good for you and your future) fearlessness will allow a person to take action regardless of how one feels. This is a skill I’ve had to work on a lot over the years and still am.

Though it should be a requirement to learn, empathy is actually not something that everyone will or can have. People think it's a skill to learn but only other empathetic people may learn how to harness it better. Narcissists are those who lack empathy and will likely never have it in their lifetime. Sad, but true story. When people think they can change someone they may be disappointed to realize some people will never change. Cut your losses if you have someone in your life who lacks empathy and refuses to want it as a part of them. Surround yourself with empaths who want to grow and who aren't afraid of change (starting with you first) and you may have a healthier social structure to rely on.

Not trying to be mean but... 1) just because we are going to die do we need to believe in God? 2) does that mean that the base of the religion is the fear? 3) can we try to focus on making a better world rather than trying to save ourselves? 4) can we ask forgivess from those who we hurt, try to fix our errors and not repeating the mistakes, instead of asking forgiveness to God? 5) who deserves a better life in the afterlife (if that exists), someone who doesn't believe in God but always tries to help others or someone who goes to the church after doing the worst things a human can do over and over again just to wash his sins? 6) can we start to take more accountability over our lives? Have a nice day!

Unlike others I'm not going to apologize for my opinion which is from life's experiences. I believe one of the most important skills to learn is number 15, showing gratitude. It is nice to reflect on this skill. I see that some act rather in the way I want it and I want it now. Showing gratitude and to express it honestly by saying Thank You and Please is a good start to live a more grateful life. Thank you for creating such amazing videos. I do enjoy this video and watch it from time to time as a reminder 🙂

This video expresses empathy. That is a great skill! The voice is clear and pleasant much like a fine tuned instrument or tool! The skills list is thought provoking and helpful while entertaining. It isnt consistent in construction so that is a skill you might perfect but most people won't notice this except to try to practice constructive communication analysis in learning how to write professionally as I am _trying_ to learn to do. I think all your skills listed are important. I would put *"Listening"* as a top one. I would add *"Empathy"* and *"Learning To Speak Up And Out and When."* You have brought many other skills to mind. There are many. Thank you so much. Great video! 1. Accountability. 2. Critical Thinking. 3. Decision Making. 4. Research. 5. Writing Professionally. 6. Consistency. 7. Communicating Your Needs. 8. Knowing When To Shut Up. 9. Asking For Help Or Advice. 10. Accepting Compliments Or Criticizm. 11. Negotiating. 12. Public Speaking. 13. Tracking Your Spending. 14. Learning A New Language. 15. Showing Gratitude. 16. Staying Present In The Moment.

My, quote and afdvice to students was: Put down your phone, listen to the other person and always look at the other hand. It is easy, when you put down your phone, tablet or game toy, you become more social and less narcissistic. You then learn that other people have opinions too and you build your own from respect. The other hand is negotiation, since you must understand the situation before you venture into it. There are always at least two sides to consider in any situation.

Unfortunately, I've lost everything now coz I didn't know how to maintain a marriage life, spend time with children, spend my easily earned money wisely, stay humble so friends would not be jealous, resist temptations, protect myself from being used out of compassion, be contented. EQ is definitely one of the important things I need.

Learn real nutrition practices so that you naturally go toward more healthy, natural food choices that will serve you well for life. 3. Get into the habit of sipping on water throughout the day. Your brain, alone, uses 2 - 3 tablespoons per hour. When a person has "brain fog", a possible cause is dehydration. A soda, a beer, tea or kool aid are more recreational. To hydrate yourself, you need clean, water.

I LOVED this video! I never thought about these things before. I've cultivated most of them, and you're right. They absolutely come in handy. They help me to be more resilient, connect with people in an authentic way, maintain my integrity and self-sufficiency. Gratitude and living in the present moment, for example, allow me to experience joy. I'm also able to look at and focus what I have (vs what I don't have), and make any necessary adjustments in my thinking, perspective to get (or enjoy) what I desire. The one that I haven't done or rather really developed is learning a foreign language. I studied Spanish in school, but had no one to have conversation with, so ... It's a language that I'm actually interested in learning, though, to deepen and expand my research re: world history. Other skills that I would say is important to learn is self-reflection and self study. Re: language, I never thought about what you said about how learning another language expands our perspective. That's a really good point. Thanks again for this video. I'm definitely sharing!
