Umm... The TV license in the UK is not per TV, laptop, tablet etc. It is paid by property. So the license covers everything under that properties roof. Also, the "enforcement agents" have no right what so ever to enter your home unless invited. You can say no. They have 0 rights of entry and they can't look through your window to gain evidence that way.

They can be very annoying though. I have had no TV in my home since I left my parents in 1973. (They had a TV, but I never really got in the habit of watching it.) For more years than I care to remember, I have received threatening letters most months, demanding that I buy a licence or tell them that I don't watch, and threatening legal action, huge fines, etc. If I inform them that I don't watch, they won't believe me and "may still visit to inspect". So I ignore them, and when they visit, they get short shrift. We were anticipating getting a free licence on reaching age 75, just to stop the letters, but there's a rumour that will be stopped before we qualify. How annoying is that! The amount of licence payers' money wasted on this over the years must be ridiculous. I'm glad none of that money was mine!

Is that common? In Australia we just buy a tv, plug it in and there’s the 20+ channels ready to go, we don’t pay for it unless we buy cable

2:19 in the Philippines we call that boodlefight except that all the foods are mixed together and not separated. People would bring their own food then a large banana leaves would be laid down where they will mix all the foods. On some occasions, as a form of entertainment. we also hide some chilis on the food and whoever eats it is the winner. Though this practice is more commonly seen in the military.

In private residential homes yes, it is one license per residence . The only exception is if the property is listed as a House of Multiple Occupancy then each resident will need a TV license for a TV in their room. www.tvlicensing.co.uk/faqs/FAQ35 *Disclaimer: They don't check I would like argue that the creator is spreading misinformation but the BBC really does not help us here. Some people are going to say I'm nitpicking, but I don't really like how it's phrased as "weirdest" and "craziest". That phrasing supposes that the uploaders (I'm assuming USA) culture is the standard of normality. Well, from other cultures point of view, they are the normal ones and others are "weird/crazy". It's all relative. It's just different cultures, not necessarily weird/crazy. Or maybe just say "what's Americans find crazy" because then no one would be surprised.

I don’t think it’s the case all over Canada, though. I remember a video I was watching and during a part where the players were asked if they’ve seen milk in bags and Vancouver Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko was asked about if he’s seen that before and he was confused. Maybe it’s not a thing in western Canada.

they say other countries are weird, but all countries and regions have different cultures and traditions, so they are weird for some people in africa but normal in south america, and if you think that americans are normal, well you should think about the people with the right of carrying a gun or walking topless in the street

Church taxes shouldn't be normal in Germany, too. As a German I find it awful, too.
@lilabraun69193 жыл бұрын
You don't need to pay it, as you know. Geh in eine Freikirche und bezahl den Beitrag. Kommt dich nicht billiger, ist aber keine Steuer. Und wenn du das nicht willst, verzichte auf die Dienstleistungen der Kirchen. Austreten ist immer möglich.

Yes. TV license is for each household, and not for each TV in a household! I have been 'visited' once by the so-called TV police. He was an elderly man, who reminded me to pay to avoid embarrassment. I did avoid embarrassment! 😁

Bukton-1 I heard that you still have to buy additional licenses for extra TVs in the house if it belongs to someone who is not your dependent.

I also need to share somethings Fact 16 0:53 I dont think women in india marries the tree because from my knowledge i know only men marries the tree and that to a banana tree and finally they cut them. Fact 15 2:02 indians are used to eat in banana leaves often and its our culture. We also eat with our hands Fact 9 6:32 This is also found in india. Indians also used to go in motorcycles in family. Not only as a family but also with there friends. This can be often visualize in india too. We use to go as doubles triples and some time as 4 also Fact 1 12:35 We indians also use this method. Not only mothers and grandmothers even fathers and (mainly girls just kidding-indians can relate)use this. Me i am an INDIAN proud to say i am an INDIAN...(sorry for my bad english)
@devangib39686 жыл бұрын
And the marrying the tree one is not a culture or something followed now...it was followed ages back and it was not even a real marriage like after that they marry with a whole real person
@sueneo68696 жыл бұрын
Nope. Manglik women are forced to marry trees. It's a fact and it's still followed.
