Ok here's the thing. Anueng uses a whole technique to attract Khun Nueng at the beginning. She acts childish so that Khun Nueng sees her as a fragile girl who she cannot completely reject and allows her to be around. Anueng also uses childishness as a mechanism to have a reaction from KN (whether positive or negative) because KN does not usually show her emotions. The first episode for some people may be disturbing because of how this character acts, but it is very necessary for the plot of the story and if you take the time to analyze it in the future you will realize these things and more. Yoko did a great job playing Anueng.

Girl hang in there bc this show has the best character development and depth. I was also very not sure but I was sold in ep 3. Anueng plays the childishness to disarm people around her. She used it bc she didn't know how to approach Khun Nueng. But even in episode 1 you see moments where the mask comes off. It is mainly heard by the tone of voice she uses. Faye is amazing actress but I have to applaud Yoko. She did incredible job acting the role of Anueng.

If you pay attention to anueng. You can really see that that chilidish behaviour is just a facade to gain attention, its a strategy. Also you can see in parts in all the eps how she gets out of that facade and she talks in a normal voice (deeper voice) and talks more mature

This is a little different from gap bc this follows the book, not the series. In the book the grandma at the end accepts sam and mom, also they are not married in the book until the second book , here she doesnt, in the book khun song (their sister) is not said she was gay, after kn left and went away the pressure of the grandma was put into song that is the second oldest after kn, and she killed herself. Thats why in s2 you can see kn blaming herself for it 😢

Yoko's acting as Anueng succeeded in making people who watched it feel annoying. Khun Nueng felt the same thing in the series. As time goes by, we will find out why Aneung behaves so childishly, and make us feel sorry for the life she lives.

The stories intertwine but in a different timeline... but if you need it, it's a couple of years after Sam and Mon. In the series Anueng 20 and Khun Nueng 36 the characters are 16 years apart... in real life Yoko (Anueng) 23 and P'faye (Khun Nueng) 30 are only 7 years apart.....

She is very mature when dealing with any adult in her life other than khun neung because she wants to get close to this cold stranger that doesn’t smile, doesn’t react to anything. Her method is to be a clingy childish girl that khun neung might have trouble telling off and rejecting since that is khun neung’s defense mechanism against everything: immediate rejection/running away. Later in the series you see that aneung has a very mature mindset regarding relationships and love and she begins to heal khun neung from her traumas. I would say she is on the same level of maturity and perhaps even more mature than khun neung regarding their relationship specifically
