Sanatamonitc has the advantage of waterproof so you can mount it in the water which is nice. clearwater seemed to have better growth on my tank.

Gucci Mane depends on the tank. Fuge is less work and works very well if you have the space. If you want to keep your sump cleaner ATS contains the light and algae or if you dont have space then it’s lots of bang for your buck in a smaller package. However you have to clean it every 10-14 days and keep up on it.

Refugium - Less work.. and works well if you have a big enough space with a decent light. - ATS contains light and has great export in a small package.. con is you have to clean it every 10 days or so .. so more maintenance.

@@cashmooney5066 Hard to say for sure. if chaeto just use a decent light.. Both work well and have their own pro's cons. I plan on using chaeto in my new future wb sump and ATS on my frags so i can feed a ton and let it take care of nutrients.

Angeloflight nope. You don’t need either of them.. they are just nice to have and make setting up and tweaking it easier. That goes for 90% of the stuff in this hobby :P. Need no. Nice to have.. yep! :)

Great looking tank.Love the acans blasto and chalice is kick in bud.Continued gr8 luck on the reef.Just a small tip,which I did with my tank for cyno algea...try raising yr magnesium...I raised mine over 500ppm and kept go in up till the cyanobacteria was gone.Hope this helps

Have you been dosing iron? If not try brightwell chaeto gro. you may be limiting it for nutrients

Ali Kh you could use gfo I stress of a fugue but it only tackles phosphates. A fuge or ats tackles nitrates and phosphate. As for reactor vs scrubber vs chaeto they are all similar but different ways of accomplishing a similar task. The Santa Monica one worked well as well. It took a bit longer to break in for me. I did really appreciate how easy it was to install. Since it was submersible it’s easy to mount at the waterline with it’s included pipe. It also contains all the light in a is a fairly compact Package. .

Do you know if the up-flow version of an algae turf scrubber is any better than a waterfall style algae turf scrubber. I have all the parts to make either one for my sump, so debating which to make.

ReefDudes My Company just started a company with the same bacteria. Seeding the tank with live rock from my our KZ display tank. It’s going to be a fauna Marin balling zeolite System though so was hesitant to start it with other forms of bacteria. Used prodibio and the refrigerated fritz turbo start.

The Golf Life you need to be careful not to mix too many types of bacteria when cycling as some can actually consume the other which could make some of it counter productive. Once it’s cycled it’s a little easier to add the concoctions ;)
