It was around September 2012, when the first time I saw the King of the Shatabdi category - BPL Shatabdi Express absolutely stormed past Asaoti in no time at flat 150/kmph and I because a huge fan of Indian Railways because I had never seen such a tornado in our Indian Railways till that moment. Then the moment came in April 2016, when I witnessed another tornado aka Gatiman Express and this time the speed was 160/kmph !!! This was the era when 85% of trains were running with the ICF coaches and only Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express were running at 130/kmph. So, 150/kmph and 160/kmph was just unbelievable and remarkable achievement for Railways. And that's the only reason that the charm and beauty of Bhopal Shatabdi and Gatiman Express hasn't been lost and it will always remain on top despite the fact that even VB Express is also running at 160kmph nowadays.
