I don't think anybody outside of S Korea, & quite a few in - hv any idea how hard it was or how BTS defied all the odds to win through, espc past other companies. The big 3, (& SM Ent in particular,) had such a stranglehold on everything, including tv time, & variety shows etc - & they employed a lot of dirty tricks to try to finish BTS in the press & everywhere - they were still doing it, around BWL, still questioning album sales & still planting "journalist's" in world wide press conferences - to ask about "plagiarism" that didn't exist. The fact that Bangtan got this award & the other huge award this year & then went on to do what SM (with Exo, etc) & YG had never done - ie conquered the rest of the work, shows how hard everybody's worked, ALL the staff (who cried buckets when they won their 1st Daesaeng) - not just the prodocers, but the staff who keep the tours running & do so much behind the scenes. Bang PD knew it could be done & they were the ones to do it, they're so talented, but it wasn't an easy ride to this point - or beyond🙏💜

Their reaction are the fucking best and tell so much about them: First off, the announcement took FOREVER. Even compared to how long it usually takes them to actually announce a winner, this was freaking excrutiating and you could tell that everyone was super on edge. If you look at a close-up, you can actually tell how nervous Tae and RM were and Jin just looked like he was frozen in place. Jimin and JHope looked like they were so nervous. Suga just looks chill, like he sort of already accepted that they WOULDN'T win. Jungkook I ... don't even know. What was that kid doing, he showed zero emotion before or after. Kinda weird. Either way, when they are announced as winners, the explosion of movement is just insane: - Jin grabbing RM's hand and squeezing really hard - Jimin and Tae just so so freaking relieved and happy - RM the KING of "OH THANK FUCK!" hell yes - Suga clearly not processing that they have won - JHope instantly just so happy and excited and just grabbing everyone into a hug (seriously, look at him mandhandling JK) - And there, at the end, you can even see how happy Jungkook finally became :)
