I fell in love with chickens through your videos over a year ago. Wasn't able to follow through YET. Keep the great information coming for future Farmers.

So many ideas, so little time! I've used the info from your channel so many times. I built my version of the Stress Free Chicken Tractor for my application and keep finding more uses for it when not using it for chickens. .. brooder, storage, greenhouse and lately I've had a few hawk attacks so I'm using it with my layers to get them around the yard. Great investment and still evolving with trying different feeders and waterers. TFS....

I find it is extremely important to price out the construction cost and infrastructure. Often you can pay more upfront but less over the life of your operations, or you can pay less up front but more in upgrades over the life of your operation. Overall It will be determined by your overall financial stability.

Hi John. I am off-grid, and so electric heat lamps are not an option. If you were me, would you just swap those for propane heaters, or would the extra moisture become a problem? I'm trying to be as energy efficient as possible too, considering hot water filled radiators but can't find any info online.

We'll thank Paul, my video editing friend for the intro! Thanks Ciecie for the nice words, happy Monday!!!
I tried the 5g bucket with nipples but my first try 1 of the 4 nipples kept dripping and the pullets didnt like them. My broilers i only raise small 7-10 so the bell waterer hanging worked best. But trough feeder worked best and can be raised as they grow.

Did you go to art school? There's no way you have that kind of penmanship without some kind of drawing background.

How deep is you bedding in the brooder? I have seen a wide range and will hay work just fine or do you need shavings?
@anytirellc5 жыл бұрын
in my experience hay doesn't absorb moisture enough. thick shavings seems best. not sawdust as they will eat it

Hi there! I've had some issues downloading some info from your website (the Pastured Poultry Packet refuses to download or show up on the website as a download). I understand you are busy, as many of us are, but I would love to read and utilize the documents again. I'd prefer email yet you recommend this. I'd love an email back to resolve this - great information lies within!
